Capstone Examples??? Information??? COSC

Working on my Individualized Studies Capstone and flying solo (I'm on a Contract Learning Agreement due to a Financial Aid issue). As such, I have nobody essentially to bounce questions off of. Professor seems friendly but isn't quick to respond. Does anyone have any examples of Capstones or ideas on what a reasonable length should be? My concentration is Political Science/Journalism - I am writing an Investigative Essay on Politics, the Media and Generation Y.

My Capstone paper was 30 pages total at COSC. My concentration was paralegal studies so I did an appellate brief and supporting documents based upon a fact pattern. What is your thesis statement?

Thanks for the reply - at least I have something now to work with! My thesis statement is still being finalized, but I have researched the impact of contemporary journalism and mass media on the political engagement of the Millennial Generation. I honestly had no idea what an adequate paper length should be, and we were not given an examples of prior Capstone's to refer to as a model.

We didn't receive a sample paper either. I felt like I was flying by the seat of my pants most times but I completed my Capstone with a 95% so I'm sure yours will work out. I did ask quite a few times what her expectations were for various portions of the paper. I think after they critique the first draft, you'll have a better idea of where to go from there. I didn't use this particular service because of the nature of my project but had I completed a paper which included more scholarly research and less legal research, I might have taken advantage of Write Check's critiquing services if I had a professor who was not very informative. Since you’re doing Individualized Studies are you in ISS-498 or ISS-499. It sounds like you’re in ISS-498 (5wk course). This is where you research your topic and write an eight to ten page outline which you will use to develop your 15+ page (body) research paper in ISS-499 (10wk course).
