It's really stupid. Why would I have a "course hearing"? Am I in court or what? Without the hearing, it would've been a very interesting degree, what a pity they do the "hearing" thing...

"Examination" also occurs in court. I can see why many will prefer a "hearing."

I mean, its similar to taking a proctored final exam. The whole point of doing the hearing is to ensure that you know the content with some sort of mastery. You essentially just interview with them; they ask how the course went, what they can improve on. And then they ask you questions on the content. Not really a "court style" interrogation. It is not that "stupid" lol
