To all affected by Matthew.

My heart and prayers go out to all who suffered through Hurricane Matthew.
Some have lost homes, and or cars others have damage to property, and some are distraught over seeing the devestation.
Personally I lived through huuicane Irene when it unexpectedly hit Wilmington Vermont in 2011, Tropical storm Sandy when she hit NY/NJ in 2012 and now Hurricane Matthew in Fl, GA, NC &SC. None of these were expected to hit the area I was in as bad as they did. I can not explain the feelings of loss, compassion and shock as you drive or walk around in the aftermath. Seeing friends houses with trees on or through them. Others with water near or over their doorsteps. Some of us just have to deal with days without electricity (no hot food, no refridgerator, no hot water for showers ). Also the fear that comes before we are told it is heading straight for us, then it turns and we will only get some rain or wind, then it changes again and after you survive hours of terrible rains and think the worst is over you get hit by the backside and the wind is much more destructive then the rain. Trees are down all over, you watch them fall or see them fly through the air then smash through a neighbors roof.
I know there must be many mor forum members who have been touched by Matthew in some way. Some of us are still without electricity so we can't get on Internet or are preserving precious phone charge. I just want all to say a prayer or word of thanks that it wasn't them or give strength or hope to those that are dealing with it.
I have seen Vermont and NJ years after the storms and there are places that have rebuilt some bigger and better and there are places that are so scarred that they will never be able to rebuild. The south coast of the US has been hit hard, but I know it will survive and rebuild too. For now just know we think of you and send good wishes your way.
