From uopeople.edu/about/worldwide-recognition/press-releases/simone-biles-joins-education-revolution/ :
This week marks the first week of the school term when Biles, who begins her bachelor's degree in business administration, will be joining over 12,000 students who have enrolled in the university from more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
And there's more:
Joining her daughter, Simone's mother, Nellie Biles, has also commenced her studies at UoPeople, beginning the MBA program.
So, according to the University of the People, Simone Biles and her mother have been studying at the University of the People for seven years.
The page uses the usual triumphalist tone found in all the advertisements published by this online school, but it’s easy to verify that most of the claims are false.
One question remains: do Simone Biles and her mother actually study there or not?

Does the Study.com College Saver Plan only include 2 exams per month? |

Hello everyone
Recently, I recharged $235 to join the College Saver Plan. However, I found that I can only take the exam twice a month. If I want to take more exams, I need to pay an additional $70 each time. I need to take more than 10 courses, and this will cost a fortune. Can I suspend my account after taking two courses each time and re - activate it a month later? Or do you have any better suggestions?HRecently, I recharged $235 to join the College Saver Plan. However, I found that I can only take the exam twice a month. Hi everybody,
I just stumbled upon another interesting Finnish University of Applied Sciences called Arcada University.
They currently offer a Masters-level specialization studies program in Big Data Analytics (https://www.arcada.fi/en/study-arcada/co...-analytics):
"This programme will cover the following subjects.
- Introduction to Machine Learning and Data-driven design, 5 ECTS
- Machine Learning and Data Mining, 5 ECTS
- Visualisation and Narration with Data, 5 ECTS
- Deep Learning and Foundation Models, 5 ECTS
- Cloud Computing and Data Engineering, 5 ECTS
- AI-assisted Analytical Service Design, 5 ECTS
The curriculum consists of six courses (5 ECTS credits each) that focus on how to program intelligent services using analytical and machine learning methods. Each of the courses are thought through solving programming problems were the students can make use of Arcada’s Nvidia-sponsored Big Data Lab or computational resources from the Finnish Supercomputing Center (CSC). These tools will enable students to learn how to make use of GPU-accelerated models for processing big data."
The price is 600€, which is really a steal considering the quality of the courses. Additionally, if you wanna transfer them into another grad school, you can get pretty inexpensive, high quality Masters-level credits.
The specialization is 30 ECTS, which will at least convert to 15 US creds (Masters) or potentially more.
However, the application deadline is almost gone: May 31, 2025
I think the coolest part of this program is that you can make use of resources, such as Finnish Supercomputing Center to conduct your projects and experiments regarding your studies. That alone is a steal considering you basically buy a flat rate to use these pretty expensive resources.
