Hi,
My previous thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ience-ASAP
I wanted to update you on my current situation. I tried enrolling in TESU but was told that I needed 9 RA credits in English. Unfortunately, my IU credits were not evaluated because IUBH won't provide official transcripts unless you have completed half of your study program. (Note to everyone: they are predatory for profit and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone).
I did some extra courses before unenrolling, completing the ones I had enrolled in previously(failed all of them because the proctors want you to live in a void out of this universe).
I Tried starting on Metropolia to get the RA-equivalent credit, but, they discontinued the entire program for foreigners, Crashed and burned trying to do the Saylor Courses(you end up feeling you're spending more time fighting with the platform than actually learning), so I'm enrolling on the LSIB's Advanced Diploma in Computing and Information Technology, to make a top-up BSc Computing at Derby, additionally. I'm also going to enroll in the FREE PGCert. Computer Science at Woolf for the sake of self-fulfillment(they seem not to need a bachelor's degree if you already have work experience)
So, this is my current travel path. I will keep you updated on my progress.

Hey everyone. I made a post a few days back and got great advice but I've changed my mind. I'm 41 years old and my main goal is to become a police officer within the next 3 years. Crazy at my age, I know, but I'm physically fit and it's always been a dream so I'm going for it. Originally I planned on a BA in criminal justice from UMBI but I've changed my mind to UMBI political science. I don't think a police department is going to care what my degree is in and political science gives me MANY more backup plans if the police thing don't work.
My goal is to get BOG by the end of the month. Then into UMBI in May. Done with UMBI in 2 sessions (8/23/24 - my birthday). Then maybe go on to Masters in Political Science somewhere. Right now I'm just focusing on as many Sophia courses as possible. I spoke to Nancy at Piermont and she gave me a basic outline and said that I can take whatever I want at Sophia to satisfy the 60 needed for BOG but I also want to make sure I can get some for UMBI as well.
Your Location: NY USA
Your Age: 41
What kind of degree do you want?: Political Science
Current Regional Accredited Credits:
School Name Total Credits: #
Suffolk Community College in 2005-2006
Introduction to Computing - 4 credits
Standard Freshman Composition - 3 credits
Freshman Seminar - 1.5 Credits
Introduction to Psychology I - 3 credits
Technical Writing - 3 credits
Foundations of American History - 3 credits
Understanding Music - 3 credits
Introduction to Literature - 3 Credits
Abnormal Psychology - 3 credits
Ethics - 3 credits
Total - 29.5
GPA 3.0
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:
Sophia Courses over the past 2 days
Workplace Communication - 3 credits (waiting for touchstone to be graded)
College Algebra - 3 Credits
Environmental Science - 3 Credits
Intro To Web Development - 3 Credits
Any certifications or military experience?
No
Budget - 10K
Commitments - 30 hour work week
Dedicated Time To Study - 30 Hours A Week
Tuition Assistance - None
My goal is to get BOG from Piermont in a few weeks and start UMPI in June. I'd like to know what Sophia/Study.com courses I can take to get as many credit for UMPI as possible. I've searched the plans and couldn't find anything on Political Science at UMBI.
Thank you guys!!

This is for a friend of my son's.
Looking for options.
I'm waiting to hear from her as to what courses she has already taken, but she just started at the community college this last fall.
CA
18 yo
Whatever degree can lead to becoming a kindergarten teacher within CA
She has less than 24 community college credits and nothing else.
She wants to earn a degree without having to sit in a classroom any more than she has to so she can work maximum hours.
She lives at home.
No Tuition assistance other than grants which she likely qualifies for.
She sees my son knocking out a class or two at a time and she wants to be able focus on a couple courses at a time and work at her own pace instead of semesters.

Hey all,
I'm done with the requirements for my BA in Political Science at penn state world campus this semester, but want to raise my uGPA for law school admissions over the summer. My current plan was to take ASU online courses. I took several ULC courses, but those do not offer A+ grades, and the regular ASU online courses are $250/credit with military benefits. UMPI also offers A+'s, and would be much cheaper to grind for credits, but unfortunately I will have minimal free time when I transfer in June, and seem to have missed the deadline to apply for the semester starting in March. My GPA is currently around a 3.7, and will be a 3.8 after I retake two concurrent enrollment classes from High School at BYU-I.
Looking at the yourpace website, it looks like they have a non-degree option, but I can't apply for it - the form on that page never led to a response. Does anyone have any experience with enrolling as a non-degree student, or a way around the deadline?
