| Study.com vs. Sophia — recent updates and credit transfer experience |

I've used Study.com off and on for a few years to earn transfer credit, and they've made some changes that might be interesting, especially for those comparing Study.com and Sophia. Here's what's changed on Study.com:
•$95/month plan: A lower-cost option. You can take two courses at a time and finish as many as you're able each month.
•Open-book, open-note finals: No more proctoring, which makes finals easier to manage.
•Faster grading: Assignments and transcripts are usually turned around in about two days.
•Mobile app (College Saver): Lets you do lessons and quizzes on your phone — helpful if you're studying on the go. It's tied to your Study.com account, so you don't pay anything extra for it.
There's a good range of courses, so it's pretty easy to stick with one provider while earning credit.
What do others think about the changes?

I check out the ACE National Guide time-to-time and I stumbled upon The University of Louisville Digital Transformation Center (DTC) page:
"housed within the Office of Research and Innovation, is advancing digital equity and workforce readiness by expanding access to technology, digital literacy, and industry-recognized credentials. In partnership with Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Google, and LinkedIn Learning, the DTC provides innovative training programs in areas such as IT certification, digital literacy, and, most notably, cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity Workforce Program stands as a flagship initiative, offering flexible, modular learning pathways that accommodate learners at every stage—from those new to the field to seasoned professionals seeking advanced specialization. The program provides several options for professional development, including shorter bundles of 3–6 modules, intermediate tracks of up to 8 modules, or the full program of 23 modules. To ensure real-world application, the program incorporates industry-specific use cases in healthcare and logistics, along with specialized learning modules in areas such as artificial intelligence, forensics, and cryptography. This approach prepares learners for both immediate entry-level employment and long-term career growth through professional development in one of the nation’s most critical and fast-growing sectors".
From what I see, there are a lot of credits to be gained from this.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Seems like this is only recent with the start dates indicating ACE recommendation as of May 1st:
https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...22480829d1
https://louisville.edu/servicecenters/di...ce-program
I also tried looking for what it costs, but I didn't find any information on it. Guess I'll have to apply for more information and see what the associate costs are.

| Coursera - Google project Management transfer issues? |

Hello All,
I am going for a BS In CIS. I recently completed the Google Project Management Professional Certificate on coursera.
I was able to successfully transfer them in as I listed them below.
However I was told this cannot apply to my CIS degree? I sent a follow-up, because I think the advisor may have been confused.
This was the first reply I got to my request:
" The project management courses you mentioned cannot apply anywhere in your degree other than free electives. They cannot be used in your computer information systems section"
I'm asking and if there is a way to appeal, and also confirming with them that I am trying to put these into Professional Business Requirements section, not computer information systems section.
Anyone have advice?
Coursera Transfered credits
MAN-4380 Mastering Project Management
MAN-4370 Effective Project Management
MAN-2350 Intro to Project Management
Degree requirements:
MAN-2100 Principles of Management
MAN-3720 International Management
MAN-3730 Managerial Communications
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Majors: Computer Information Systems
Departments:Business Administration
Edit: I was told to escalate to the Deans office. So I've sent an email. I am gonna explore other degree options / Advisor appointment next week.
