President Trump is President-Elect!

Peace and love towards my colleagues here.

I loved President Trump's victory speech. It was so Full of hope and healing.
My favorite part was when he turned the floor over to Dana White.
Dana gave a big shout out to Joe Rogan.

Now my moment of schadenfreude:

To the Totalitarian mob at Degreeinfo - I should just pray for you.
I'm not ready for that yet. Instead I'll thumb my nose at you and laugh out loud.
You reveal yourselves  in  your collective Trump Derangement Syndrome

Penn State EdD Online - No Dissertation
Posted by: newdegree - 11-05-2024, 05:23 PM - Forum: Doctorate Degree Discussion - Replies (4)

Pennsylvania State University offers an online Doctor of Education program that requires only 37 credits. Of the 25 required credits, 6 are capstone experience credits. The other 12 out of 37 are electives (of which the school may accept transfer credits). The cost is $1027 per credit, which is not so bad given PennState's reputation.

Masters degree advice for IT (EU based)
Posted by: dafnay - 11-05-2024, 10:44 AM - Forum: Degree Planning Advice - Replies (4)

Your Location: Poland
Your Age: 33
What kind of degree do you want?: I have a Masters degree in Law (I did it in France where I lived +20y ears) -
I am working as a IT PM for the past 4,5 years and would like to get more IT/engineering knowledge and get a degree in that field\
Also looking for 100% online and self paced (if possible)
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 0
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 0
Any certifications or military experience?: Many project management certs (PMP, AgilePM, Scrum, Prince2), currently working for network+ and security+, then some Azure Cloud
Budget: My employer is based in the US and maybe might pay for it - otherwise around 10-12k euro
Commitments: I work full time
Dedicated time to study: I can commit 2, 3 hours/workday, 4/5 hours during weekends
Timeline: no more than years - 1 or 1.5 years would be perfect
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: see budget

I am kinda new to those online degrees but heard you can transfert credits ? Dont know how that works.

Also, heard that TESU is quite good and have indeed the Masters of Science in IT I might be interested in. What do you think ?

I just wonder if I am qualified for it since my current bachelor/masters is in a completely different field (Law).

Heart Be EXCELLENT to each other
Posted by: Charles Fout - 11-05-2024, 12:18 AM - Forum: Off Topic - No Replies

I blink my eyes and then it happens again
I lose my way but I discover a friend
It's a typical day on the road to dystopia

I walk along until my feet are sore
I rest a minute then I walk some more
There's no time to delay on the road to dystopia

And my destination is the unknown
But I'm never far away from my home

It shines like laser light - I'm dreaming of a Great Big Red Wave!
INo dreams at night
'cause I'll be up all night
On the road to dystopia

I will be there to share your tragedy - hopefully not mine
I know that you would do the same for me
It's no trouble at all on the road to dystopia

When the vote counting is over I'm gonna get some sleep.

Let us just be EXCELLENT to each other
I took Liberty with Todd Rundgren's lyrics here

My thought is - Whatever the outcome  of this election we should be civil to each other. Heart Heart

Frustrated with University of the Cumberlands
Posted by: CollegeStudentAC - 11-04-2024, 02:50 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (11)

I am asking for a proof of enrollment letter that also states my enrollment date and not just the term as after 13 weeks, I'm able to withdraw from my RESP without limit but the person refuses to provide that. I've only been enrolled in one college prior and that was a private for-profit college and they provided the date (without me even asking) but regardless, I really don't see how my request is unreasonable. I would love some input because I am very frustrated.

Question Path to BSN
Posted by: Anon - 11-03-2024, 03:37 PM - Forum: Degree Planning Advice - Replies (5)

Hi All,

Originally, years ago, I was going for a BA with a focus in Mathematics from TESU. Now my long-term goal is to become a Psych-NP, but I'm taking it step by step. Below is a table of the credits I have accumulated so far with the TESU equivalency.

Questions:

  1. Do I need to fully complete a bachelor's degree as a prerequisite for an accelerated BSN program, or can I use the 111 credits I have?
  2. Since I'd like to see if this is the right direction for me, I'd ideally like to start slow:
    • Which courses can I take now (without being admitted to a program) that I can still use for a BSN?
    • Would those courses be transferable to programs like that?
    • Where would be a good place that offers those courses with the necessary labs (online and self-paced preferred)?
    • What is a list of courses that most BSN programs require?
Thanks for taking the time to read!
