Gender and Race as Social Constructs

Gender is a social construct, not scientific. It is entirely human created. You would know that if you took a sociology class.

  Masters/MBA - Degree Planning Advice
Posted by: theboyfrombarrio - 03-27-2025, 01:13 PM - Forum: Graduate School Discussion - Replies (3)

Hello, I'm less than an hour member.

I would like to ask question regarding ENEB MBA versus HULT MBA, which one would you best recommend?

Honestly, I'm considering ENEB because of dual degree which would be an advantage.
My end goal is to gather enough higher education degree to further strengthen my capacity to teach higher education institution in my home country.

Do you think ENEB (Universidad Isabel I) would be recognized equivalent to master degree in Philippines? Do we submit ENEB or Universidad Isabel I?

Can I use the degree to further study?

I'm planning to pursue my PhD from California Coast University.
Currently, I'm pursuing to UoPeople BSBA.

Shouldn't my extra business electives cover BUS 245 and BUS 359 if those are elective
Posted by: DaTiger - 03-26-2025, 09:55 PM - Forum: UMPI - University of Maine at Presque Isle Discussion - Replies (4)

Finishing up BABA degree. I have a ton of credits that transferred in from Sophia, past colleges and Google PM Cert. I have several extra business elective credits that came in as BUS 2xx and BUS 3xx. However, I'm being told I still need to take two more business electives for the PM minor of BUS 245 and BUS 359, although I have 11 classes that I'm already doing at UMPI.

Weird because the Google PM Cert came in as 9 credits covering BUS 400 but didn't cover BUS 359 and came as BUS 3xx.

UMPI: BABA - Minor MIS & PM (In progress - May 2025 Target Completion)

ACE CREDITS:
Sophia: 108 credits
Coursera: 9 credits

Coursera Certs:
Google Project Management Certification (V2)

  which doctorate program allows installments?
Posted by: huiwh1998 - 03-26-2025, 03:10 PM - Forum: Doctorate Degree Discussion - Replies (16)

Which doctorate program allows installments? For example, you can pay per credit/course and not have to pay the whole thing at one time.

I know VUL is quite fast, yet you've to pay the whole thing at once. Are there any of them just like the VUL, but with installment plans and can be done 12-ish months?

Thank you all!

BALS or BACS? What would you do?
Posted by: glancing7924 - 03-25-2025, 11:03 PM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (10)

Let me start by my goal first.

My goal is to get admitted into the OMSCS at Georgia Tech and get a Masters there. I am contemplating on whether I need a BACS to get into the program though. But I want the degree to stand on its own in case I decide against that in the future. Would you go for the CS or BALS yourself?

I am currently taking Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Operating Systems at TESU.

Artificial Intelligence and Operating Systems is kicking my ass and regret taking them at TESU but I had few options from the classes I had left. I didn't leave any easy classes for TESU unfortunately.

Most of it was paid through Pell Grants. I am planning on hopefully passing all 3. Next semester I plan to take the Capstone and the Cornerstone through mostly Pell Grants to complete the Residency requirement. From there I will be taking the remainder of the classes at Study.com.

Would you go for the BALS or the BACS?

Classes I am current taking at TESU right now:
Software Engineering
Artificial Intelligence
Operating Systems

Classes I will need for BALS Computer Science Minor:
Capstone
Cornerstone
Public Speaking
Intro to Programming
Computer Architecture
Data Structures

Classes I will need for BACS:

  Deciding on EdD Program (Help)
Posted by: klone - 03-25-2025, 09:18 PM - Forum: Doctorate Degree Discussion - Replies (6)

I'm looking for a 12 to 16-month program that is fully asynchronous and offered by a non-profit institution. I was initially interested in South College, but the for-profit model and diploma mill reputation are turn-offs. Ideally, I’d like a program that leans more towards exams and testing rather than being heavily writing-intensive. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Exclamation Study.com Has Ignored My Support Requests for Nearly a Month. Desperately Need Help.
Posted by: EducationNation - 03-25-2025, 01:52 AM - Forum: Saylor.org, Straighterline, Study.com, Sophia.Org, Coursera Discussion - Replies (4)

Hello, this is my first post on this site. I’ve been a longtime reader and have gotten so much great advice just by browsing the forum over the years. I decided to make an account today because this seems to be the only place where I’ve found helpful and informative answers regarding Study.com.
About a month ago, I contacted Study.com support because I was having issues with the Veriff ID verification required to take final exams. Their FAQ page mentioned that if you’re having issues with Veriff, you should contact support, so I did.
They emailed back the same day saying they would forward my request to an account specialist. I followed up several times via email and also left a voicemail, but I didn’t get another response for two weeks. When they finally replied, it was the exact same message, “We’ve forwarded your request to an account specialist and should have an update shortly.” After that, nothing.
I continued following up with emails and voicemails, explaining that I had a college transcript deadline and I was at risk of missing it. I was practically begging them to respond so I wouldn’t miss my chance to start college on time. But I got no reply in time, and unfortunately, I missed the deadline and had to delay my college start date.
I didn’t renew my subscription after that because I had literally wasted an entire month’s subscription waiting for a response. My courses were fully completed, I just needed to take the finals.
About a week and a half later, I received another reply. This time they apologized for the “experience” and gave me a “one-time courtesy month” of free access. But they still completely ignored the actual issue I’ve been trying to get help with.
I followed up again, clearly explaining the problem, and left more voicemails, but once again, no reply. It’s been another week since that last message, and I still haven’t heard anything.
At this point, I’m completely at a loss and don’t know how to move forward. Has anyone here experienced something similar? Is there any way to get in touch with an actual Study.com employee by phone, live chat, or through this forum?
I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!
