Been doing a lot of research on this forum, Reddit, and the Wiki to find the program that’s right for me (Perplexity Spaces and making a You.com agent were much easier for finding relevant answers on this site than the search function  ). It looks like UMPI is going to be the right choice for me, but I want to confirm with the folks here first.

I’m looking to become a school psychologist and want to apply to brick-and-mortar graduate programs next January. I researched my target programs and they generally want to see a GPA for the final 60 credit hours, so if I’m not mistaken, I’ll have to do half of my credits (20 courses) at the bachelor’s program I choose.

Commitments: 30-40 hours per week of job obligations
Dedicated time to study: 25 hours per week
Timeline: Need a degree by the end of 2025, so 10 months from now.
Other info: I don’t do well on exams unless they’re open-book. I prefer to write, and if I’m not mistaken, SNHU and UMPI are the only universities where I can complete a degree without exams.

My priorities are getting a high GPA to be competitive for grad school, and earning the degree by the end of 2025 so I can apply by the grad school deadlines in January.

My questions:

1. Grad schools generally want transcripts from all universities attended - how often have y’all heard of grad schools asking for the ACE credit transcripts from places like Sophia and Study.com? Do the grades in those courses show up on the university transcript, or do they just show as transfer credit? Asking because I plan to not focus much on my general education ACE credit courses and just earn minimum passing grades.
   
2. Which universities are best for my situation? UMPI and SNHU seem like the only viable choices since a degree can be earned without exams, but I know that SNHU allows only up to 3 courses per 2-month/8-week term, so I can’t complete 20 courses in 10 months.
   
3. Anything else I should be aware of? Feel free to share links to other threads that would be useful for my situation.
   
4. I’m in serious awe at the involvement of some of the users here like @bjcheung77, @rachel83az, and @LevelUP, volunteering to help people out like me. Curious about what motivates y’all to voluntarily spend so much time here, especially when you have other obligations? How can I give back as someone who is new to this and can’t offer much advice? Perhaps I could provide my degree plan on the wiki once I’ve finished the degree?
   

My son received a notification that Study.com is switching over to non-proctored, open-book final exams for their College Saver plan beginning at the end of February. Exams will no longer be recorded. They will be switching over to keystroke pattern verification and ID verification.

Hi!  I just got laid off from my Fed Govt job here in Virginia.  I'm thinking of pursuing another degree (WGU-MSCSIA is complete).  Anything other than WGU I can knock out in 6 months?  I'm open to MBA, MBA IT Management, MAOL and possibly others.  I'm going to apply to grants at WGU but high prior income will be a factor.  Thanks

I just completed the 325 financial class, and wow, it was so long. Anyway, I am happy to say I have completed my bachelor's degree in business management at UMPI. My online school journey is now over. I'm very excited to see my certificate. Yay!
 

Hello, I have seen posts of people doing the BAS with HTY and POS but I have not seen posts of people with the BLS and minors on POS and HTY. Are they quite different? I am doing BLS with POS but I cannot decide on the other minor but I am really enjoying the history courses so I figured I would ask here before emailing my advisor, who I have bothered countless times about all minors lol
Also, if BLS with POS and HTY is possible, do the courses overlap with no problem?
I would like to see a plan with the  2 minors to see what classes would apply to which

It's been a long while since I've posted, but I'm back!  Actually, I'm posting today for a friend who recently enrolled in WGU (based off of my recommendation which was based off the information found here on degreeforum).  The goal for my friend is to complete a Bachelor's degree as soon as possible (I'm sure many here understand!!).  Specifically, they have settled on the Business Management degree because of their life experience and general hope that it might be the quickest.  What they are looking to find is maybe a breakdown of harder/easier and slower/faster courses.  Additionally, maybe someone has a successfull course path to take like X101 then X204 then...

The assumption is that they will need to complete MOST of the courses through WGU.  I know that there are other ways to get the credit outside and transfer in (before joining WGU), BUT this simply isn't the best plan for them (for a number of reasons).  It's better for them to complete the courses in-house.

Why am I asking instead of sending them here?  Honestly, it is because the idea and steps toward beginning their degree is overwhelming for them.  I'm trying to bring them along with baby steps.  I've already suggested coming here for insight and it's just a little too much at the moment.  I'm sure that once they have two or three classes under their belt, they will jump in with the rest of us.

Anyway, ANY insight that you might be able to provide in reference to the BS in Business Management degree from WGU would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, I'm new here but have been lurking for a bit. I had some difficult times with WGU, even signing up, and the process of getting transcripts and whatnot. I was supposed to start 3 months ago, but that hasn't worked out for me (long story). I have seen a lot of complaints about their proctored exams. I've watched YouTube videos and taken extra courses on Sophia specific to what I wanted to do and everything (sighs). I was just wondering if there are any schools that offer the certs as part of a degree plan like WGU? I know SNHU does not but do they offer vouchers? I am sure this may be asked a lot, but I can't seem to find too much. I am getting back to school after over 7 years so I want to make the right choice. So far, I have my eye on SNHU (the only downside is that it doesn't include certifications). Do you have any suggestions?  

Cost is also something for me. I was approved the full amount of the Pell Grant, so breaking down per term, I owed maybe 337$ it would've been. So I'm also keeping that in mind. I know that SNHU is a bit more.
I am currently a full-time truck driver, looking to switch career paths. a year ago, originally, I was looking into cyber security. But I saw how broad that was after my research; with WGU, I was looking at the Network Engineering and Security program (I just wanted a foundation on how networking worked and eventually get my certs in the cloud and whatnot) but was frustrated with them. Most of the stuff I find online is either computer science or information technology. (Any recommendations on that as well?)

I would love any feedback on these professors and courses. I did heavily research them before choosing them. But any advice, suggestions or comments are welcome. The first week of the term corresponds with my Spring Break so I will be dedicating 7 days working as much as humanly possible to completing these courses. If all goes as planned, I will be a high school teacher in the fall!
