I posted this over on the WGU reddit yesterday, but... looks like WGU is adding BS programs in Communications and UX Design. I was messing around on the partners site for fun and happened to notice this on one community college's page...
No guidebook PDFs or dedicated pages to be found yet, but I did find the Sophia and SDC pages for each (which show the curriculum).

I have poked around the forum as well as online and was looking at Sophia courses to segway to UMPI. I'm hoping to find some guidance as far as what credits I already have and what classes I would need to complete through Sophia to qualify to move into a degree program in Accounting with UMPI. Or if there is a better option than Sophia/UMPI, I am all ears! Thanks for any help from the community!
Hi everyone! I got my transcript evaluation back from UMPI today, and I have attached the PDF to this thread.
I was surprised my RA Astronomy credit and my Sophia Intro to College Mathematics credit were transferred in as electives, and they did not meet the 3D and 3A/3B GEC requirements, respectively. According to the wiki and one of the 'important' threads, it looked like they would meet those requirements.
Anyway, to meet all the GEC requirements I am missing, it looks like I will need to take the courses below.
English 105: College Comp 2 (SDC)
Business Math (SDC)
Into to Ethics (Sophia)
Visual Communications (Sophia)
Art History 1 (Sophia)
Human Biology & Lab (Sophia)
Environmental Science (Sophia)
Into to Sociology (Sophia)
Spanish 1 (Sophia)
US Govt. (Sophia)
To meet some of the BABA Accounting requirements, it looks like I can take the courses below. I've already completed Intro to Business (Sophia), but it was after I sent my transcripts in, so it's not reflected on the evaluation.
Business Math (SDC duplicate) for MAT140
Accounting 201 & 202 (SDC) for BUS 361 & 362
Business Law (Sophia) for BUS350
Business Ethics (Sophia) for BUS353
Workplace Communications (Sophia) for COM210
That would leave me with exactly 10 courses (30 credits) to take at UMPI: BUS 200, 220, 244, 325, 440, 469, 352, 376, 378, and 464.
I am debating whether I should finish my BS Interdisciplinary Studies at my current college to have the GEC requirements waived, or just take all of the Sophia/SDC listed above. Finishing my current BS would involve taking an intense capstone course with several research papers at my current college, the 6 SDC and Sophia courses that transfer for the business/accounting courses listed above, and 3 easy Sophia courses that my current school requires. I would need to complete all of this by the end of July to meet the deadlines for both schools which is definitely possible. There are pros and cons to both routes.
I wanted to post this here to ask for suggestions and make sure I am not missing or misinterpreting anything! Thank you so much for your help!

none as of now - but will start soon Any certifications or military experience?

None, I have a bunch of training ours in Special Education and Education in general.
Budget: I have a max of $10 K. I'd like to go the cheapest route possible, but will consider spending more for easy and fast. Commitments: Honestly, just kids/spouse. I currently work full time and can work on my studies part time – I have an easy work load. Dedicated time to study: I can study as much as is needed during the night or weekends as long as my schedule is free. I estimate at least 3 hours every week night and on the weekends, maybe 6 hours, total would be roughly 15+12=27 hours or slightly more. Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 1 year Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Yes, my workplace may give tuition reimbursement but has to do with education and usually a masters program. So I may or may not qualify up to $5.000 a year. This will be more interesting if I can find a job as a German Teacher and or Sub and will have to enroll into a teacher prep program (post-bacculerate program). I would like to attend Wilson University for that.
I am interested in a competency based – work at your own pace program for the BS. I hope I will secure a job as a German teacher (Foreign Speaker) after I have the BS. I had a job offer for a cyberschool to be a German teacher but my foreign credentials were evaluated as an Associates Degree with 84 credits and not a BS as I was hoping for. The Austrians stated that this degree is equivalent to a Bachelors degree. From the looks at it I am missing all general ed classes. It is very common for 3 year programs in Europe to not have gen ed classes. I have worked in the US for over 20 years and I get by very well with my English skills. All my schooling is from Austria. I would like to get the right credentials to pursue my journey to become a German teacher. If I can not get a job at a cyber school I may change my career route again but I would like to try.

Questions:
·Can I be excused from the English admissions test? If not Is the Duolingo English test easier/ or the Toefl?
·Does it it make more sense to complete the CLEP in German or the ACFTL? UMPI doesn’t offer German, can I still get credit for German Clep or ACFTL?
·IS UMPi’s program accredited by the Department of Education?
·Which Sofia credits can I take in preparation? I was thinking American Government, Art History, Public Speaking, American History
·Shall I take math at UMPI or get it done with Sophia?
·I am hoping to get all education related coursework done with UMPI
·Shall I take English Comp at UMPI? Sophia or Clep out?
·Can my Austrian degree be accepted instead of my HS diploma – I don’t want to have it evaluated and translated – more money to be spent in the wrong place.
What could a possible degree plan look like?

I just started classes and wanted more info on what the grading is like. I saw an old post where someone said add up all your grades and divide them to get the percentage and a min of 80 is needed to pass. I'm not sure if that old or new information since the milestones aren't graded. So if I get 3 on the final is that a passing grade for the actual class? They require an 80 yet the rubric grading is 3,4 proficient, exemplary, developing etc so I'm a little confused.

Dedicated time to study: I can study as much as is needed during the night or weekends as long as my schedule is free. I am currently studying for 7ish hours mon-fri. However, this summer will be busy, and I am expecting to miss at least a whole month. Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 12 months Tuition assistance/reimbursement: No I am better at and prefer testing over assignments. I have a little anxiety when it comes to written projects. If my research is correct, I believe I need 30 RA credits to graduate but the plan CS plan I am following from the WIKI page only has me taking 5 courses from TESU. So, I have the following questions. I am curious as to which of my remaining classes should be taken at TESU to finish as quickly as possible, and which of these should I completely avoid taking at TESU. Will the new Sophia intro to psych course, Microeconomics course, and SDC POL SCI 102 have any negative impact since I most likely won’t utilize them anywhere other than LL Elective? I haven’t registered for anything at TESU, I am hoping to have all my ducks in a row before I send any transcripts over. I would appreciate any advice or tips to help me move forward. It feels like I am getting very close, this forum has given me a ton of insight and direction. I appreciate all the details and support from everyone that has gone or is going down this path with me.
TESU emailed me a code to waive the admission's application fee. I have previously applied, but did not attend, TESU. I don't know if the code is one time use or can be used many times. The code is UG24.
I was just emailed this offer from TESU but the link appears open to everyone. Here is the exact email I received with the addition of the web address of the two hyperlinks within the email that were lost in copy and paste. I have previously applied to TESU but did not attend. I hope this helps someone.
