Budget: no budget, can use fed and private loans and military aid from parent
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: N/A, have received employment reimbursement when staying only with one parent before moving
Commitments: family moves too much, # of younger siblings to take care of depends on what parent I stay with
Dedicated time to study: can study as much as needed
Short term: I'm searching for an accelerated program either in ADN or ABSN. My goal is to increase my earning potential from less than $20 an hour to $35 or more within 18 months. Long term: I'm considering pursuing a four-year degree in a math-heavy field like engineering or actuarial science. I've lost interest in Computer Science after changing my major multiple times. If I opt for Accounting, I'll need to retake the course since I received a D previously. Currently, I'm enrolled in WGU's Healthcare Administration program to maintain eligibility for aid. However, I'm not a big fan of online learning long term because my family often uses it as an excuse to relocate frequently.
Open to all suggestions and degree paths to be self supporting.

Hello everyone, finding this forum and the wealth of information has been tremendously helpful so firstly thank you all for info so far..
Now I have a question:
Your Location: BC, Canada
Your Age: 35
What kind of degree do you want?: Any Business or General Degree with IT
Current Regional Accredited Credits: Unsure, previously obtained a diploma of 60 credits from Ontario, Canada but unsure if it is transferable to USA
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 0
Provider Total Credits: 0
Class Name, Credits, Grade
Any certifications or military experience? No
I am a Canadian currently working full time in a field unrelated to IT with an unrelated diploma from Ontario.
I am looking to switch career toward IT and that's why I am wanting to get a degree with IT Minor and/or a BAS with IT concentration.
Through researching the forum, I've found that there are two paths to take through UMPI that seems to be relatively quick and easy..
- 1. Take as many required courses on Sophia and Study.com according to the degree wiki and then apply directly to UMPI BLS program and focus on courses toward a concentration in management information systems.
- 2. Have my diploma assessed through WES, and then applying through Pierpont, then take any required courses, obtain the associate degree and then finally applying to UMPI using the AAS from pierpont.
Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions as to which path is "better" in the sense that it may be quicker/cheaper/easier ?

I am currently majoring in Supply Chain Management at UMPI. I registered prior to finding this forum and was not aware that adding a minor was an option. Which is the best combination Supply Chain and Information Systems minor or Supply Chain and Project Management minor?
I also noticed the BBA-Project Management & Information Systems am I allowed to do both BBA Supply Chain & Project Management & Information Systems ?
I currently have 15 credit total left to complete Business Administration Supply Chain Management (planning to take two courses through Study.com)
My goal is to work towards a position ( career change) in Purchasing & Logistics, or Sourcing (Sales)

Hello everyone,
I will start my DBA with South College this November. I'm planning to finish the DBA in 1 or 1.5 years. My question is, is it possible to do PHD top up degree? I'm asking because I saw some universities offer PHD All but dissertation(ABD) courses. So am I allow to do the PHD ABD right after graduate from a DBA? If this is allow then it will save so much time.
