Call to the White House Comment Line:
The number is (202)456-1111
So, I called the White House Comment Line. I waited less than ten minutes to express my thoughts to a volunteer operator. She was very pleasant.
I simply stated that I am a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, a retired DoD civilian, and former Trump for President Campaign Volunteer.
I stated that I feel DEI/EO have been mischaracterized. I went on to say yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day. I said I heard the military a training regarding the Tuskegee Airmen had been cancelled. I noted that when I was a DoD civilian the DEI/EO Office would often coordinate a guest speaker for Holocaust Remembrance Day, and facilitate training such as the one on the Tuskegee Airmen. My favorite of Which being "A Letter from the Birmingham Jail." There is an incredible video, which I may have shared here, produced by the University of Texas Business School. I said such training is important for everyone. I stated that I thought Liberal Arts education, as taught at St. John's College, was good, and the President should become an advocate of such education. Finally I asked that the President declassify any information regarding the murder of Malcolm X, as he had with JFK, RFK, and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King.
I will soon follow-up with a letter to the White House.

I’m preparing to pursue a Psychology bachelor’s at UMPI. Right now, I’m working on the last bit of English Composition I through Sophia. I can generally write, but I’m still ironing out an efficient process for the specifics of writing college papers. I have questions about the timing of UMPI YourPace terms, classes, and assignments.
Let’s say you sign up for 2 classes in a term and finish them, do you wait until the next term to sign up for 2 more?
I understand a term is 8 weeks, you go through the material, take tests, then you have research papers and powerpoints where you turn in drafts, get feedback, then submit your final draft.
How does the timing/deadlines of these assignments work?
Are there specific deadlines, or do you just need to finish everything by the end of the term?
What happens if you don’t?

Hello,
I am looking to get a bachelors degree in accounting. I have been working in a unrelated field and decided a couple years ago that it was time for a change in careers. I started back at my local community college to start working towards this new path. I finished a associates degree and am enrolled through a four year college. Decided this was going to take to long probably around four years to complete. Distance and time is causing me to be a part time student. Since the loss of hours at work and drive time would be significant i started looking into other ways to complete the degree. My options now are these colleges you have been talking about in the forums and going to a different four year university. The new four university would be closer due to a satellite office that is twenty minutes from where i live. It would cost 18k to do that option. I really don not want to spend that much if I do not have to. So now I am here looking for help. I was looking into WGU and UMPI your pace. I am currently enrolled in a statistics coarse through the community college to finish the pre req for the four year. If can drop this and use study.com or sophia to complete this i would be more than happy to drop at my community college. I think its important to be able to sit for the CPA exam when i am done if that helps.
Location: Illinois
Age: 37
Type of degree: I am looking to get a bachelor degree in accounting with the end goal to be a masters... eventually.
Current credit hours: 101

Any certifications or military experience?: none
Budget: looking for cheaper. But i will figure out what i can.
Commitments: I work full time Sunday, Monday, Tuesday every other Saturday 0630-1830. And a lovely wife.
Dedicated time to study: If I am not at work i can study. My plan is 20hrs a week.
Timeline: I would like to be done in a year if possible.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Might be able to get up to 6k from work but no guarantee I will get any.
Here is a list of my classes through my community college and one class through the four year.

Michigan Law to Require High School Computer Science Courses |

Zo Ahmed at TechSpot Wrote:Michigan has passed a new law requiring all public high schools to offer at least one computer science course starting in 2027, a way of boosting tech skills and preparing the future workforce. It essentially guarantees all students in the state will soon have access to at least some computer science education before graduating.
The bipartisan bill, signed into law last week by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, aims to increase technological literacy across the state. […] The new law defines computer science broadly as the study of computational principles, hardware, software, and their societal impacts – with a focus on creating new technologies rather than just using them.
Michigan new law mandates Computer Science classes in high schools (Zo Ahmed, TechSpot, January 27, 2025)

Is there anyway to get your Credly Badge / ACE credits on Coursera besides waiting on them? I completed a certification 6 days ago, and still nothing, and support is not very helpful there.
After this experience they're making me nervous. I'm not sure if I'd trust them again for anything needing ACE credits.
