So I signed up for The American Dream Academy. Now I have only until end of April to finish them. I'm going on a trip a in couple weeks. I'm wondering is there a way to work on TADA offline like on an airplane by downloading content? Just wanted to ask.
Also, is there a way to work on the certs on a mobile app? I will not be bringing my laptop on the trip.

Your Location: Washington, DC
Your Age: 35
What kind of degree do you want?: Business Administration
Any certifications or military experience? I have a CompTIA A+ certification, Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician, ITIL V4 Foundation.
Budget: Flexible, but would like to keep it under $5k. Time is more valuable to me at the moment.
Commitments: Work, FT. Nights and weekends can be open.
Dedicated time to study:12 hours per week
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 1 year
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None that I am aware.
Hi Everyone,
Short time lurker, first time poster. I have been researching online degrees and stumbled upon this amazing forum and have been building my path to a bachelor’s degree ever since. Humbly asking for help to make sure I got this right.
It looks like UMPI’s YourPace Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration – Project Management & Information Systems is the right choice for me.
I visited the UMPI’s General Education Roadmap and BABA Project Management wiki and built this spreadsheet below:
Transfer Credits Pathway Spreadsheet
Rough draft, bear with me.
I understand that unlimited credits can be transferred to UMPI, but only 90 credits can count towards your degree.
Questions:
- If this is the case, is there any reason to complete more than 90 in Sophia/Study/Coursera?
- Does this mean I need to take more Gen Ed, Project Management, or Business Administration classes at UMPI and add in more of the General Electives to Sophia/Study/Coursera?
- Ultimately, does this pathway look like it will work/best optimized or should I talk to a UMPI advisor before starting this journey? (I understand that they want you to apply right away)
- What’s a realistic timeline for a working, childless adult?
About Me: Fed gov employee (GS-13) with 20 years of working experience and 11 years of IT experience. Current role involves a lot of project management, random tech support, and IT consulting. I have A +, CCENT, and ITIL V4 Foundations certifications. For funsies, I also have an ACE CPT certificate. Thinking about getting my degree now for financial security and to stop avoiding the question in conversation, LOL.

PayPal - Asking for ID and address confirmation |

Hmm, anyone come across PayPal asking for ID and address confirmation before? I read online and this seems like a normal thing they do. I don't mind, but never actually had to do this until yesterday, so I took a picture of my drivers license and my college transcript, sent it in... Within minutes, my account restrictions were lifted. I don't know why so many people online rather 'end' their PayPal account over that. Maybe because it's a privacy, personal info issue, but I think it's like a bank or credit union, places that require your ID before they give/take money from you...

International High School Equivalency for UMPI Application |

Having finished all the transfer credits (93), I am finally ready to apply to UMPI. Link to my Degree Plan.
I have just now filled the form and I expect to be contacted soon.
As an international student based in Italy, I have two questions:
1. Do I need a US phone number? Can everything be done by email?
2. To get my High School Diploma evaluated by WES (Document-by-Document Evaluation), should I buy WES ICAP or is the WES Basic package enough?
Alternatively, since it now seems that UMPI accepts other equivalency providers, is there a better deal?
Thank you.

Hello everybody. I'm new to all of this and really need your guidance!
I've had a long educational journey and really want this chapter to be done with. I have an AA from Florida State University, but then my father got sick and I had to return back home to Argentina (I'm an international student). I studied philosophy for a while in public university in my country, then law... Now I'm in the US, newly married and applying to be a permanent resident. I don't have a legal permit to work yet, so I'm really bored and in need of purpose. I thought continuing my education would be out of the question because of how expensive it is, but then I discovered this whole realm of possibilities and it's got me really excited. If someone could point me to the right direction, I would be forever grateful!
I'm thinking of the BA in History & Political Science because I've always been social sciences/humanities inclined, and always saw a future in teaching and/or working in the government or NGOs. I sent an e-mail to UMPI asking about transfer credits, but they told me that they could only tell me what would transfer after I apply, which was a letdown. This is what I have:
CPO2002 - Intro to Comparative Govt
ENC1101 - Freshman Composition & Rhetoric
GEA100 - World Geography
MGF1107 - Practical Finite Math
AMH2010 - History of the U.S. to 1865
BSC1005 - General Biology for Non-Majors
BSC1005L - General Biology Lab
ENC1102 - Freshman Writing & Research
MAC1105 - College Algebra
ECO2013 - Principles of Macroeconomics
INR3003 - Intro to International Affairs
PHI2010 - Intro to Philosophy
PSB2000 - Intro to Brain and Behavior
ANT2410 - Intro to Cultural Anthropology
ECO2023 - Principles of Microeconomics
LAH4430 - History of Mexico
REL1300 - Intro to World Religions
INR2002 - International Relations
INR3933 - Special Topics: International Law
PHI3882 - Philosophy in Literature
SPC2608 - Public Speaking
Cumulative GPA: 3.25
Your Location: Virginia, USA
Your Age: 30
What kind of degree do you want?: BA in History & Political Science from UMPI
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 61 credits from Florida State University (I completed an associate's degree on my way to a bachelor's in international affairs)
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: Not sure what those are, but I guess none?
Any certifications or military experience? None
Budget: Right now I don't have a lot of money, only about 2k. I am planning on starting work whenever I get my work permit and then I'll have more leeway.
Commitments: I have all the time in the world, for now.
Dedicated time to study: Same as above.
Timeline: A year would be nice.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None.
What else do I need to know? What courses should I start taking on Sophia? Thank you so much!
