Hey guys, I've been here for a while but still think there's someone out there who can shed some light on my path. I'm trying to get a doctorate from any regionally accredited institution that's less expensive or less time-consuming.
Education:
- High school diploma
- SIEMENS NX CAD Certification
- Google IT Support Certification
- MIT MicroMasters Program in Statistics and Data Science with 4 certifications
- Cert1: Data Analysis - Statistical Modeling and Computation in Applications
- Cert2: Probability - The Science of Uncertainty and Data
- Cert3: Python - From Linear Models to Deep Learning
- Cert4: Fundamentals of Statistics
Previous two years of brick and mortar college with no transfer credit from that college
Sophia: 115 credits, because it's cheap and easy I can take any course on Sophia, so assume I have it if it's on Sophia
Real Estate license I took 4 college level courses (" 1-Real Estate Principle 2-Real Estate Practice 3-real Estate Finance 4- Property Management") from a non credit online school but it accept by the California department of real estate
Location: California
Age: 26
Budget: $20k; I'm willing to spend more for easier or faster degrees
Commitments: I'm currently working 50+ hours at SpaceX, but I have a month and a half of PTO, and I can take unpaid leave for up to 6 months. I'm also willing to quit my job to focus on getting my degree since I'm not getting paid well enough, and I'm looking to move to tech companies (FANFANG).
Dedicated time to study: I can put in 60h+ per week.
Degree Timeline: 0 to 5 years; aiming for the fastest or least time-consuming degree.
Any idea or advice is highly appreciate

I'm 28 years old, working at a large pharmaceutical company in a role that generally requires at least a bachelors degree in any sort of health or science field. -Biology 1 with lab
-Cell biology
-Cell Biology lab
-Ecology and Evolution
-Animal physiology
-Statistics
Total completed credits: 20 minimum, I believe it might be higher
I'm looking to get a health related degree (Health Science, Biology, etc) online with the best tuition and fastest option possible.
Programs I'm considering:
- WGU BS in Health and Human Services, they approved 32 transfer credits, I still need to take 78 credits: Cost 9k total if 2 terms
-SNHU Public Health BS, they approved 70 transfer credits with 50 remaining: Cost 17k total
-UW Flex BS in Health Science, I setup an info session to discuss
-TESU BS in Biology, I think I might need more courses at a community college to qualify?
I really appreciate everyone's help and guidance with this. You guys have created an amazing forum and structure to help other people, I've read through so many posts on here and it's been very helpful

Hi all,
I am a new student starting in May and I need help with my degree plan in BLS Management. I have very few credits from community college years ago and finally in a place to return and finish. I already work in HR so just need a degree for a promotion, the BLS seemed like the best option after doing research. I have time off from work and wanted to take as many Sophia.org classes as possible in my free time. I currently have 32 credits transferred in and will list them below. Please tell me which classes I should take on Sophia. I have no kids and other obligations and can dedicate about 8 hours a a day for the next couple of weeks so want to get to as close as possible to 90 credits if not more. I'm not picky about classes and know the BLS path allows me to take more electives so if you have done this path before or have any advice/insight please let me know. I appreciate it so much.
Accepted Credits:
- First year seminar
- Psychology
- Public Speaking
- Intro to Sociology
- Intro to Business
- Organizational Behavior
- Intro to Logic
- College Algebra
- Business Communication
- Visual Communication
32 Credits
Thank you in advance, let me know if I should anymore details.

TESU - Course Transfer Questions |

Hi there,
When looking at the Bachelor of Arts degree on TESU's website, I see this:
A. Intellectual and Practical Skills (15 Credits)
ENC-1010
Writing for Success
3
ENC-1020
Writing for Success II
3
COM-2090
Public Speaking
3
MAT-1210
College Algebra
3
SOS-1100
Fact, Fiction, or Fake? Information Literacy Today
3
For all TESU course options that will satisfy this area of the degree, go to Intellectual and Practical Skills.
Does that mean that if I get credits from Sophia/Saylor/etc that transfer to the Intellectual and Practial Skills area, I won't need to take the specific list of courses above?
For instance, if I took a course that transferred as DSI-2000 Visual Storytelling with Data, I wouldn't need to take College Algebra?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi guys. I got some bad news today and need to know if anyone can help. I have an Associates in Applied Science: Radiography (Virginia Western Community College). I transferred and am in school currently for my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration at Radford University (Carilion). I was supposed to graduate this May, as I’m in my last semester of the program, but the head of my program just emailed today and said I can’t graduate until I take 26 more credits of any class type because they missed that I didn’t have the 120 required credits to graduate with a BS. I finished my degree but because most of my Associates classes didn’t transfer over, I got no credit for them. (Something to do with my degree being an “applied” degree?)
Is there anything I can do? Worst comes to worst I take 26 credits this summer at Radford online. There is an option for short 5 week summer classes - if they allow me to take 5 classes for the first 5 weeks and 4 classes for the last 5 weeks of summer I will do it. (3 credits per class)
(I take 5 classes a semester and work 30h a week.
24y/o. Radford University. Good standings, 4.0 GPA. Sorry I didn’t have enough info last time!)
