I've been lurking on this forum for a couple of months, using the search feature to answer my questions about taking the Biology CLEP. When I passed with a 72, I was so excited, and I just had to post to thank you all for your help. I couldn't have done it without IC or the message boards. The recommendations on study materials and practice tests have been invaluable. Now... on to American Government!

Is anyone in the D.C. area and know where you can go to take DSST (DANTES) exams? I have been trying to find someplace that offers the exam and have had a rough time. My local community college is listed as an institution that gives the DSST exam but nobody seems to know what I am talking about.

I am getting ready to take the clep principles of management exam, I have the comex exam prep book and ic does anyone know if you need anything more than these to pass? I did find an online site to a principles of management book that gives you chapter outlines of info and flashcards and was wondering if anyone had used it.

Chapter Outline

Any Suggestions for "Abnormal Psychology" textbook ? Or IC would enough for ECE exam ?

I have taken 8 CLEP exams and passed them all. With a big thank you to IC and this forum.

I now need to take several DANTES exams. As it stands now I have a very good system for studying and passing the CLEP exams.

My question is to those who have taken both types of exams. As compared to CLEP exams are the DANTES exams more difficult, less difficult, or about the same?

I know the best way to find out is to just pick one, study and then go take it, but I really want to hear from those who have taken both exams have to say.

As a two year member of IC and a new member to this board I also feel like I should try and give something back to the IC community as I have benefited greatly from this forum. I will be posting more later in with my own observations and tips.

I plan on taking the English Comp next week. Do I need to know the definitions of any of the different parts of speech...ex: pronoun-antecedent, correlative conjunction, dangling modifier? I can pretty much tell when a sentence is poorly written and can usually rewrite it but if I actually have to explain what I'm doing, I may be in a little trouble!

Can you tell me where the flash cards are? I have to take a test tomorrow. The Personal Finance and then next week I'll be taking the Drug Abuse and Alcohol and then the Here's to Your Health.

I'm nervous because last week I was able to find the flash cards and now I can't.

Do I simply go through each set of flash cards and print them one by one and study from there? There has to be a more paper friendly way. lol

How do you prepare. I am feeling overwhelmed. DO I just keep doing the flash cards over and over on line, do I need to print, do I need to read somehwere 1st?

Sorry for all of the questions. I am new and have never taken these test, I am working on my BS in Business Mang. and have 60 credits. I desire to test out and earn 21 credits here and my remaining 40 with my University.
