I need to know from fellow members who have succesfully taken the Excelsior Ethics exam and passed. Do the IC flashcards cover enough material that will lead to success on the exam. I am using IC and Harper Collins Outline of College Ethics. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Wheeeeewww.... What a lot of material to study! I've been reading all the threads about this one, and I've taken oodles of notes on 8 of the 10 sections here on IC - any more specifics about the exam itself, and what exactly I need to know? Anything? :o) I'm just boggled with all these drug names, so I think I'm going to put the test off to Friday, instead of tomorrow...
Thanks folks,
David

Environment and Humanity, and Info. Sys. and Comp. Apps!! |

Done! Whew, today was one heck of a day... I woke up planning to go to my usual testing center, and take the aformentioned exams, plus Intro to Computers. Well, the poor guy at the testing center woke up with strep throat this morning! So, my girlfriend called just about every testing center in Georgia and managed to have me take Environment and Humanity, and ISCA... I had to drive to from Powder Springs to Dunwoody, then to Lawrenceville, then down to Fayetteville to see my girl for dinner.
Anyway, all that to say the stress of the day, and the driving all around in Atlanta's insane traffic was more stressfull than either exam!!
Env. and Hum. was a fairly easy exam, as long as you study IC thoroughly. I passed with a 55, and I needed a 46.
I passed ISCA with a 56, and I needed a 50. IC was once again enough, but know the different job descriptions and job titles of people who work in the field of computers, IT, IS, etc.; I had quite a few q's about jobs, etc. that threw me.
Well, I've only got four left! Drug and Alchohol Abuse and Intro to Computers is schedule for Thursday, then Foundations of Education and Managment Info Systems for next Tuesday, and I'll graduate!!!!!!!!
Whoo, can't wait.
Thanks for all the help folks, IC has been the best money I ever spent on schooling!

Western Civilization I & World Religion |

Hi Everyone!!
I am in the process right now of studying for my first test, which is the Western Civilization I. I have found a bunch of useful information from previous posts but I was wondering if anyone could give me some helpful advise about using IC. Looking at how many flashcards (about 400) there are for Western Civ I, how does one learn all of that information?
I am also using a book that I got from passyourclass.com, which seems to be helpful but I am kind of worried that not all of the information I need is contained in that booklet. Has anyone taken the Western Civ I test by only studying with the passyourclass book?
I am also planning on taking World Religions if anyone has any good advise about that test too.
Thank you all for your help, I really appreciate it!
Alicia

Passed Educational Psychology |

Just thought I would let the board know that I passed the CLEP exam, Introduction to Educational Psychology with a 69!! The exam was more difficult than I anticipated, but I passed.
I would advise you take Human Growth and Development prior to Educational Psychology ( great deal of overlap with these two exams) and use the REA books for these two exams.
This makes 5 CLEP's I have taken and passed in 9 weeks. Now I am ready for some upper-level DANTES, TESC, and ECE exams.

I have decided to take the Excelsior Ethics exam and wanted to know if anyone has taken this exam and could offer some advice on study materials. I plan on using IC and the Harper Collins guide for College Ethics.
Also, I believe the exam is multiple choice. Does anyone know how many questions there are for this exam?
