I went into the money and banking test today petrified. I did a petersons practice tests and got only 40 percent correct. I read all the threads on this test and was totally scared.
This test was not nearly as hard for me as its made out to be. There were quite a few reasons and I will try to explain so others can benefit.
1) I did macro, micro, finance and accounting before this test. Many questions were based on info from those previous courses!!!!!!!!
2) I knew all the instancert material very well!!!
3)The same as 1
I am a big talker now when I really dont know my score, however I firmly believe that this is a very very doable test if you understand the concepts. I will tell you guys in a few weeks what happens- good luck everyone. This is the first peterson test I paid for and I felt it was a total waste. The questions were 50% harder then the actuall test and almost all the info was totally unrelevant to the test. Good luck everyone.

CLEP Overlap |

I'm a student at Empire State College, and I've just been told by somebody on the degree planning committee that they may not allow me full credit for some combinations of CLEP tests. Example: the claim is that since the CLEP Social Science and History test is 17% US history, then I should not get credit for the overlap with US History 1. So, the committee may decide to deduct a credit due to the overlap. The same thing with my CLEP College Math and the ECE Statistics. CLEP contains 25% statistics, so they may deduct that, too
I will not make a difference because I have way too many lower level credits, but it does seem petty. Is this normal? Has anybody heard of this occurring at ESC or another college? Do some schools get annoyed if you have allot of CLEP or other tests?
Just curious.
PS, I just passed the ECE test in Org Behavior today.

I hope this info can help someone in ic land. I am going for a business major at Thomas Edison. For the business major you need 3 business requirements, and this also pertains to anyone else who has business requirements. There is a test business math that I have not seen people post much about. Just to tell everyone, that I am looking over the material and it is like 5th grade stuff. Most of the material is from basic and I mean basic statistics and probability. But I am taking about real easy material. So I decided to make this post, since I have not seen any other threads about this test. Dont get scared of B/c of the MATH, its really basic stuff.

Just curious if anyone knows if Ed phychology is counted as applied pro at Excelsior? I need 1 more Clep for all LL and I know Intro phy would satisfy it but would rather take Intro Ed phy. (I can't take intro Ed if its applied pro)
I know its better to check with Excelsior first but I get a responce back much faster from you guys. (Still waiting on Excelsior from other queries since Friday)
Thanks.

(I have already taken the intro soc, HG&D)

I am preparing for the Civil War exam. I am scheduled to take the exam on 8/30. I have been mainly using IC and the Rudman Book. They don't seem to cover the same material. Can anyone who has taken the exam advise me on whether to focus my time on IC or the Rudman book. I am ultimately trying to study both equally, but am scheduled to take this test next week, and would like to focus most of my study time on the more valuable of the two. I have to allocate my time wisely, as I am also taking a seated class, an online class, and working full-time.
Thanks in advance...

Does anyone have any tricks to remember the statistics formulas? I keep getting the formulas mixed up. From what I read the exam writers do mean things like use the wrong formulas to get the incorrect answers on the exam.
Additionally do I need to remember the tables or will they provide them during the exam? I've read a bunch of posts but I'm still a little foggy on the issue.
