Are there any websites that have free practice tests for this test. I have purchased the instant certs but just want a little more practice. I have searched online and couldn't find any.

Thanks for the help.

  Human Resource Management (ECE)

After almost a two month delay (new baby boy), I’m getting back to finishing up my degree. I’m taking the Human Resource Management (ECE) test tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone can give me some words of wisdom.

I plan on only studying Instacert and using the DSST study guide.

Anyone do the practice tests on Petersons revised site?
I read on this forum that the Peterson questions were more challenging than the actual Clep test questions. Is this still the case?

Help Needed on Management Info Systems
Posted by: Basket Weaver - 08-15-2006, 08:40 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (13)

OK, I've read all the threads on this being an "easy" test. I consider myself quite able to grasp new, and often useless information, such as the likes being studied for my degree. I've done the IC for this test and can go through nearly all of the sections and know the answers/and reasoning behind the questions/answers. HOWEVER when I got to Petersons, it's like I studied for the wrong test, that or IC is way off. I know the latter probably isn't correct because the feedback on this board is usually spot on. I've taken two (out of three) tests available and I'm scoring exactly 49 on each test. Like I said, either IC is way off or Petersons is going way too in-depth, as usual. Anyone out there run into this problem before on this one? For being one of the suggested tests, I am beginning to feel like an idiot here..... I'm having acronym meltdown, and I'm in the military...the organization that sets the standard for acronym use (TOTSTSFAU) Feedback would be great....Thanks in advance

New 2007 Principles of Financial Accounting
Posted by: adrian - 08-15-2006, 01:33 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

I failed Principles of Accouting about 1 month ago so I am trying to take this new exam. Has anyone here taken it yet ? I guess my other alternative is to take the DANTES one. Any ideas ? I can go on in my course since PRin of Finance was a prerequisite to pretty much all my remaining classes. Sad

I have been looking through different threads, and have not seen such great things about the money and banking dsst test. If there is anyone out there who can give me their scores or words of wisdom for an extra boost, I would reallly appreciate it.

  Suggestions for upper level credits
Posted by: Braylen - 08-13-2006, 11:49 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (9)

OK, I'm 27 credits away from completing my degree through Excelsior, and can only have a limited number of any more Applied Professional classes. 24 of these need to be upper level.

I'm ready to take the CLEP "Intro to Educational Psychology", am signed up for "Graduate Research and Writing", and am working through "Abnormal Psychology." I've already completed the DSST Management Information Systems and a traditional upper level Business Ethics (so I don't think I could use the ECE "Ethics: Theory & Practice" exam).

Right now I'm looking at taking the following:

  • Organizational Behavior (ECE) - (will finish my concentration in Psychology)
  • Business Law II (DSST)
  • Human Resource Management (ECE) (these two finish concentration in Business)
Then I need three more 9 more Upper Level credits, and right now I'm leaning toward:
  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse (DSST)
  • World Population (ECE)
  • Foundations in Gerontology (ECE)
Assuming I only want to take exams, does anyone have suggestions for better tests to take? I picked these based on what I perceived to be the ones with the most resources available to help prepare, but didn't really research which might be the easiest. I *do* want to ace all of the tests, since I have a 4.0 average right now, and there's no point in screwing it up at this point, so ease and prep materials are key (i.e., availability of good sample tests to verify readiness).

I don't want to skimp on my education or anything, but I'm really interested in a particular Master's program, so the quicker I can get through this (obviously) the better.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
