I’m Good evening! Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My son will need an associates degree for his potential job. The goal is for him to complete as many Sophia/study.com courses his junior and senior year of high school to hopefully apply towards an associates degree. Can someone tell me the lowest priced regionally accredited college that will accept the most transfer credits towards the associates? Thanks so much everyone

had something weird happen to me.

I enrolled into BSIT at WGU.
Ever since my first day of enrollment I started having paranormal experiences in my house.
Things moving around and strange sounds etc. even my brother heard/saw them.

I accelered thru the BSIT and finished in like 4 months. Everything stopped.

I then enrolled into MSIT and things started again but now they're worse.
I am thinking of dropping out now since I can't even sleep and my brother had a really freaky one and he left home and got his own place.

It's weird cuz I actually wanted to go all the way up to PhD but now I had to stop.

Any ideas?

I completed my MBA a few years ago at a UK school.  It's regionally and internationally accredited.  However, I used the work-experience route (common in the UK) to enter the program, rather than a completed bachelor's.

I'm looking to do a hard pivot away from anything related to that degree, into mental health.  There are a variety of licensures that allow one to become a therapist in California, but they all have requirements for which schools one can attend and what programs are relevant. Degrees include MSW (for LCSW license), MFT, and LPCC, and I'm open to any of them.

It would be great if I could use my MBA to show that I'm capable of graduate level work, even though there's no overlap in the content. 

I've completed a fair amount of specialty education in my mental health niche, and can legally work as a counselor, but only within my specialty.  Unfortunately this credit is unlikely to transfer.  

Realistically, I may have to knock out a relevant bachelors, but not necessarily.

Has anyone been down this path, either going Masters > Bachelors, Masters > Masters, or fast-tracking an accredited mental health degree in California?

I am close to obtaining my second BA from TESU in Mathematics.  I have a previous BACS from TESU.  I need one more upper level math course (Part F AOS Electives Upper Level on the My Progress page).

I have already taken Coopersmith MAT-301 and the SAS Advanced Programmer Certificate.  I was planning to take another upper level course at a different school but I was surprised to find the LSE edX Statistics Fundamentals microbachelors transfers as STA-3210.  This took me by surprise because it isn't listed on the sample BA Mathematics Degree Plan.  So I thought I had already exhausted all of my non-traditional methods to get upper level Math credits.

My questions: (1) is the edX certificate still accepted as upper level statistics?  (2) does that satisfy Part F credits for the Math degree? As far as I can tell it should work for my degree plan.

I wanted a little bit of help looking for a competency based Master's program in Information Technology. 

So far I was able to find WGU. 

What I like about WGU is that it's a flat rate and you can do it as fast as you can hence competency based but I don't like that it has proctoring even though that's not a deal breaker I also don't like the fact that it is 6 months long even though that is quite generous for the flat rate but nor is that a deal breaker.

Just wanted to get more options. So far the Internet has yielded bachelors degrees in IT and related areas and has not yielded Masters in IT that are CBE. Trying to see if anyone knows of any. So far I've looked at Walden University, University of Wisconsin, Purdue Global, and Capella University and none of them have a CBE Master's in Information Technology even the traditional format.

The EdS program at Fort Hays State University accepted me, and I want to complete it by May of 2027. I will begin the program on March 23, 2026. Most courses last 8 weeks, some courses require 16 weeks (Foundation of Research, Leadership Portfolio in Education, and Capstone Course). Aside from summer, which is a single 8-week term, they conduct two 8-week terms every semester. My long-term objective is to apply to an EdD program that takes a significant amount of transfer credits or an EdS degree. I have so far made a list of the colleges I intend to apply to, and my top five are those mentioned below. Before anyone jumps to the conclusion that an EdS is a waste of time and that I should pursue an EdD instead, I chose to complete an EdS first since it provides a flexible program all year round. I am not required to move with a cohort, and they give me the option to finish the degree and take a break if I get bored with the teaching profession or burn out, before continuing with an EdD. In addition to offering a variety of concentrations, the EdS degree is transferable to another institution. Also to mention the cost of tuition is $349 per credit which is cheaper than all EdD programs and only requires 30 credits.

I’m in the UMPI Spring 2 term working on the BABA Marketing degree. Because my timeline is very tight, I’ve already finished all of the courses I could complete outside of UMPI and I’m trying to move through the UMPI courses as efficiently as possible so I can receive my transcript quickly.
For those who have already completed these classes, would you be willing to share what the required assignments are like (Milestones and Final Assessments)? I’m hoping to understand the expectations in advance so I can prepare and work more efficiently.
In particular, I’m interested in:
• Typical assignment format (papers, projects, case studies, presentations, etc.)
• Whether there are templates or specific structural requirements
• Key competencies or concepts emphasized in grading
• Any tips for finishing the courses efficiently
Also, I have a PMP certification and was wondering if anyone has successfully used it to request a waiver or transfer credit for Management Information Systems. If you’ve had experience with this, I’d really appreciate hearing about the process and outcome.
