TESU BSBA OPM elective options |

Hi,
I’m trying to find options for my last BSBA Operations Mgmt. elective (3 LL credits.)
I’m pursuing my degree through TESU, and I’m on the 2021 academic calendar. I’d like to complete as many courses as possible through alternative credit sources (Clep, study.com, Saylor, etc.)
So far I have completed the following courses on my OPM AOS evaluation:
AOS Requirements:
Operations Mgmt. (TECEP, UL)
Applied Quality Mgmt. (not completed, but planning to take from CSU Pueblo)
OPM Electives (12 credits):
Project Mgmt. (Saylor, UL)
Logistics & Supply Chain Mgmt. (study.com, UL)
Mgmt. Information Systems (Saylor, LL)
My TESU advisor informed me the only elective left for me to take is OPM-415 Logistics. I would prefer not to complete OPM-415 Logistics at TESU because of the time/cost/work, so I’m trying to find other options.
I asked my advisor if any of the courses below would work for this OPM elective, but she informed me that none of these options are approved for this requirement.
(Most of these courses are suggested on the degree planning wiki for the TESU BSBA OPM, but I also included a few from TESU’s OPM certificate)
TECEP:
STA-201 Principles of Statistic
CIS-1070 Computer Concepts & Applications
Study.com:
Business 100: Intro to Business
Business 305: Leadership Communication
Business 307: Leadership & Organizational Behavior
Business 308: Globalization & International Management
Hospitality 304: Hotel & Lodging Management & Operations
Hospitality 309: Food & Beverage Service & Operations
Business 107: Organizational Behavior
Business 111: Principles of Supervision
Business 121: Introduction to Entrepreneurship
I also asked my advisor if I could use the Google Project Management: Professional Certificate or PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.
Here is her response:
“…Unfortunately, neither certification will apply.
While the Google Project Management: Professional Certificate does transfer as 9 credits (MAN-2350, MAN-4350, MAN-4380), you shouldn't take it and expect any credits to apply. You already have credit for MAN-4350; MAN-2350 is essentially the same course at a lower level and; MAN-4380 doesn't qualify as an OPM elective.
Based on our records, we stopped accepting The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) back in May 2021….”
So if anyone has advice or suggestions for alternative credit options for an OPM elective (specifically logistics), I would appreciate it.
This forum has been very helpful. Thanks in advance for your help!

I'll be honest—I'm not proud of the associate degrees I've accumulated. I went through a prolonged period of uncertainty that ended up with me having those degrees. I struggled with anxiety during tests at a traditional school and wasn't the best student. However, I'm determined to prove to myself that I can achieve more and earn a bachelor's degree, and hopefully a masters’ as well.
While I'm currently satisfied with my job, I recognize that advancing in my career will require a degree, and UMPI's flexibility is very appealing to me. Also, I apologize if any of these are confusing to read, but I am thankful for any help that I can receive.
Question:
Should I apply to UMPI for Fall 1 or Fall 2 and wait to confirm which courses transfer? And if they don't meet the 90-credits criteria, then begin enrolling with Sophia/Study.com, or should I go straight to Sophia/Study.com using the WIKI for the degree plan, without waiting for advice/decision from the advisor or counselor?

Hey, Every one
I am from Pakistan I'm currently in high school I'm considering UMPI yourpace bachelor BBA PM& IS being an international student I want to pursue my masters in Germany or any EU country so I've been looking for some information regarding acceptance of Sophia or other AEC credits on bachelors transcript for masters program but didn't found anything specific ( If anyone got accepted with 90 AEC credits on the transcript please share your experience, especially in Eu ).
Otherwise, the next plan is to complete a whole degree in 2 years (due to financial reasons ) 5 sessions per year 4 courses per session =12 credits similarly 60 credits per year and 60 in the next year 120 credits and the degree is complete.
I've no job I can study full time so guys advise me on whether it is possible to follow this track.
how hard are the courses?
all of your opinions and advice are welcome I hope to get a great response.
Thanks!

Graduating after a single session |

I started my journey in March with 6 credits from my local CC from 16 years ago. As of Monday I have completed 152 credits and finish my BABA PM&IS in a single session. Some of these are more quality of life hacks, but they really helped me manage my courses efficiently, happy to answer any questions if I am able to help. I owe a lot to this forum and would like to pay some good fortune forward.
Here are some things I learned that really helped me get through:
1. Read aloud browser extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail...xt_sidebar
Super useful to listen to course material when you aren't able to sit and read, struggle with reading long documents, need audio and visual stimulation for retention, or just want to listen.
2. Use a digital notes platform that syncs. This could be a document you keep on Google Drive, OneDrive, drobox, etc. or a platform like notion or obsidian (my choice)
This bailed me out on so many occasions I was able to keep all sources that I collected in the same place in a note and access it from all my devices. It was nice to be able to be researching on the go on my phone, copy and paste the link into my notes app and have it ready to go on my computer when I go home.
3. If you have YouTube premium save course videos from YouTube to a playlist and listen to them like an audiobook while commuting or doing chores, doesn't work as well where visuals are important, but any lecture style videos this is incredible.
4. Set up a folder with a subfolder for each of your classes to organize your work and resources (i.e. textbooks and resources) even better if this is cloud synced.
5. Find a solid APA 7 word template and set it up with the universal info like your name, and the university name, that way when you need to write a paper you just open that template and save as "Assignment_ClassX" in the corresponding folder. Such a time saver.
6. If you have a kindle or other e-reader, send the course textbooks to that device if you prefer to read on e-ink, or just want to give your eyes a break.
7. I used AI for a few minor things that I believe are acceptable and ethical use cases:
- I used an AI tool to adjust my eyes to maintain contact with the camera. Staring into a camera to deliver a presentation makes me feel uncomfortable, this made it easier.
- Formatting citations, it doesn't always get the information correct, but for me having a preformatted citation to copy and paste into my assignment saved time even with having to double check that it's 100% correct. YMMV.
- Evaluating sources prior to reading the entire article/study. This one saved me a ton of time when evaluating sources to use in my papers by not having to read some very lengthy studies that I thought would be useful.
8. Know the dates of office closures and due dates for assignments.
9. Stay in contact with you Academic Success Coach (ASC). They want you to do well, maintaining a good relationship with them can be invaluable.
10. When in doubt email your professors. Most of my professors for Summer I were incredibly responsive.
11. If you are struggling with a professor, ask your ASC if there is another professor with an opening for the same course. I didn't have to do this, but I know it's an option.
