Has anyone tried recognizing ENEB/UC1 or UoPeople degrees in Australia?

Has anyone tried recognizing ENEB/UC1 or UoPeople degrees in Australia?

It seems like you need to use https://www.vetassess.com.au/ for immigration purposes. But a thousand dollars is really a lot.

As far as I know, vetassess might have some kind of partnership with enic/naric from Europe. And might so similar assessments, so if enic/naric in Europe/UK evaluate favorably, that vetassess should do so too. I have no idea if it makes sense.

  Masters Degree in Texas
Posted by: Melhux - 03-23-2024, 08:25 AM - Forum: Degree Planning Advice - Replies (3)

Hello! I am looking for a relatively easy masters program in Texas. The reason the university must be in Texas is I adopted my daughters from foster care in Texas and the state has a program that state tuition is waived. They will have a bachelor in Organizational Leadership from Texas A & M Commerce.

  Kairos University Masters in Counseling
Posted by: Wnt2BLPC - 03-23-2024, 12:48 AM - Forum: Graduate School Discussion - Replies (10)

Greetings, everyone, this is my first post as I have referenced this board occasionally rather than posting. Anyway, I am about to complete my bachelor's in Psychology from an accredited school and intend to enroll in a master's program for mental health counseling to be an LPC. The thing that gave me trepidation was the cost of CACREP programs until I came across a non-CACREP program at Kairos University. They have a masters in Counseling which said I would be eligible to be an LPC in my state of Texas.
Do any of you know someone who has gone to Kairos and become an LPC after graduating from there? How did they describe the program pace, classes, workload, professors, etc? How long did it take? What additional steps were needed to be taken after graduation knowing it wasn't CACREP accredited? Did jobs readily hire the person for counseling jobs after graduation despite no accreditation? Do you know of other Non-CACREP schools that are just as affordable as Kairos University?
If this has been answered before, my apologies. Smile Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

  DBH W/ Clinical Internship
Posted by: lookingformore1 - 03-22-2024, 11:45 PM - Forum: Graduate School Discussion - Replies (4)

I am a licensed MSN prepared Psych NP looking for a terminal degree that is clinically focused. Purposely avoiding dissertations, capstones, DNP, etc.
ASU DBH w/ an internship is very appealing, though $90k gives pause. Anyone aware of similar programs for a lower price. Thank you!

  Help with UMPI admissions requirement
Posted by: Throwmeaway1590 - 03-22-2024, 07:46 PM - Forum: UMPI - University of Maine at Presque Isle Discussion - Replies (2)

Hey I am a prospective international student. I didnt have a good time in my home town and and struggled with mental health issues (covid, family issues). Therefore I was enrolled in my countries university but I didnt take any courses or completed any. Hence there are no transcripts it is all empty. To Americans this is unthinkable but there is no tuition here so I was basically a student on paper. Personally I do not think the rules were ever made for this type of situation. I did graduate from my countries equivalent to highschool though.

During my time I worked as a part time cashier.

  • Students who do not have any college credits must submit the following:
    • Provide high school transcript, high school equivalency test (HiSet), or GED
    • A resume to indicate activities and experience post high school diploma (or equivalent)

  • "

I am getting closer to the 90 credit mark on third party course providers. My situation might seem odd to some.

My question is : Do I include being once enrolled on paper? I cannot send anything to WES that is not there I can only send them my hs transcript. And how should the rest of the resume look like? Is there anything required from my employer or should I simply list what I did?

First post, political science class guidance needed
Posted by: Daniel14 - 03-22-2024, 10:26 AM - Forum: UMPI - University of Maine at Presque Isle Discussion - Replies (6)

I've been been taking Sophia classes since March 1st. I was turned down for a government job all because I lacked a piece of paper on the wall. To say say the least I have been motivated and decided to cut back on sleeping for awhile. I'm attempting to get a Political Science Degree and a history minor from UMPI.

So far in the last 22 days I have knocked out 63 credits with 3 more credits waiting for a final touchstone grade. Outside of English I and II, History II, and Spanish I and II what else am I missing that I still need to take?

Developing Effective Teams
Visual Communications
Art History I
The essentials of Managing Conflict
Introduction to Ethics
Introduction to Nutrition
Introduction to Information Technology
IT career Exploration
Introduction to Business
College Readiness
Introduction to College Mathematics
Macroeconomics
Art History II
Introduction to Web Development
Introduction to Career Readiness
Environmental Science
Microeconomics
Life Span Development
Project Management
College Algebra
Human Biology
Conflict Resolution
Financial Accounting
Foundations of Statistics
History I- waiting on final touch stone grade

38 year old 1 semester college drop out that I doubt anything even transfers from my only semester in college because of the remedial classes I was placed in at the time.

New Sophia Courses: Health, Fitness, and Wellness and Anatomy & Physiology II Lab
Posted by: LevelUP - 03-22-2024, 04:21 AM - Forum: Saylor.org, Straighterline, Study.com, OnlineDegree.com, Sophia.Org Discussion - Replies (16)

I see these courses listed in the ACE database, though they are not yet live on the Sophia website.

Anatomy & Physiology II Lab

I assume this will also be an Anatomy & Physiology II class that matches the lab course.

Why humans no longer have tails! Yes, the article refers to one of the principal investigators getting an injury and wanted to find out the origins of the tailbone. Interesting find and research done with modifications to genetics on mice...
