Free or affordable Christian Chaplaincy Online
Posted by: Sowak777 - 02-20-2024, 05:56 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

I'm looking for free or affordable online options for Christian Chaplaincy training. Earning a degree or college credits is NOT necessary. Just looking for some training for a small church group that wants to serve in local prisons and hospitals. Thank you. Lucas Smile

If I am short 3 classes at the end of the spring session, can I participate in the commencement activities and finish the program the following session?  Or will I have to wait until the following year?

  UMPI application

Hello everyone, I have a question about applying to UMPI as an international student.
I graduated high school in Morocco and went to a national university in Japan but haven't graduated.
I am planning to send my uni transcipts to IEE for evaluation hoping I could transfer some credits over to UMPI, and I am wondering if I need to send over a copy of my highschool diploma as well. If someone applied to UMPi as an international student here please tell me about your experience.

  Best option for bachelors
Posted by: Taochoa90 - 02-20-2024, 02:49 AM - Forum: Degree Planning Advice - Replies (1)

I have been on this forum trying to find the best solution for me to get my bachelors degree. I have a career plan and I need a bachelors degree in order to obtain the certificate I need to progress in my line of work. I currently hold an associate in arts through my local community college, I also have a handful of credits from other colleges and universities, as well as around 30 credits from Sophia. I had myself working towards WGU until I came across the TAMUC option. I like the TAMUC option slightly better only for the brand, since my career is in agriculture and I will be in the state of Texas. Any advice on which direction would be better would be appreciated. I would like to be obtain a degree that has some business aspects to it but I prefer not to do a ton of essays and would like to get it done by spring 2025.

  Umpi BLS educational studies minor
Posted by: VincentB - 02-20-2024, 02:42 AM - Forum: UMPI - University of Maine at Presque Isle Discussion - Replies (1)

Hello all. I'm wondering if there are any BLS in educational studies minor out there. I'm interested in applying at UMPI but unsure of the required hours in field experience. Does anyone know or can confirm if it can be done by watching videos or does it have to be in person?  I remember reading that somewhere on this forum but can't find it.
Thank you.

  Inexpensive Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees
Posted by: bjcheung77 - 02-19-2024, 08:00 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (10)

Hey all, just wondering... Are there any other inexpensive certificates similar to the one mentioned here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ality-deal

I am starting to search to add to my collection... I really like the certificate, I wonder if there are similar certificates, diplomas, or degrees that can be had for a similar price (other than the $130 + transcripts Pierpont BOG AAS of course)

I am not really looking for the cheapest or the freebies such as these ones below, but looking for something similar to what Pierpont BOG AAS or the inexpensive certificate above that provide a nice cover/holder, parchment, letter, etc.

https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...ram.62401/
https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...ine.62214/
https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...ing.62652/

For the cheapies/freebies, I'd rather have those as JPEG or PDF and can print that out myself if needed.  I'd like to have the better quality ones printed and shipped to me by the institution directly instead, even if it costs a little, as I like the holder, parchment, and have a letter or notice of completion.

  Sophia | US Government
Posted by: bradonomics - 02-19-2024, 06:37 PM - Forum: Saylor.org, Straighterline, Study.com, OnlineDegree.com, Sophia.Org Discussion - Replies (9)

I've been trying to write the first Touchstone for US Government, Government in My Community, for the last four hours. I've looked and looked for something that I know about and can find sources to include. I've even asked Gemini and ChatGPT for ideas. I have read many articles but still can't come up with a topic. This assignment seems too subjective to write anything that would get a passing grade.

I think I'm asking what can I do about this, but I might be asking if I'm too dumb for college.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Exclamation Schools that list A+'s on transcript in any way?
Posted by: JumbledSpirit - 02-19-2024, 02:08 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

Hello! Long time listener, first time caller!

Does anyone know of any online schools that list A+'s on transcripts and not just A's? I am hoping for lower priced and self paced online courses (ideally), and specifically need A+ grades on my transcript to raise my LSAC GPA. More info here: https://www.lsac.org/applying-law-school...marization

I am looking for schools that list A+ grades on the transcript or list grades as a percentage (98-100 is converted to A+ by LSAC)

I know this is a strange request but if anyone has any clues it would be much appreciated!
Thanks! Heart
