Master’s (Titulo Propio) from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona? |

Hi everyone,
I have been looking at an unofficial Master’s (Titulo Propio) offered by Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona for teaching purposes. https://www.uab.cat/web/postgraduate/mas...1-3092_en/
Following the advice from BJCHEUNG I’ve updated this section using the recommended format.
Because of my situation I left some parts vague to avoid the possibility of being identified.
Your Location: East Asia
Your Age: 28
What kind of degree do you want?:
Accredited Master’s degree in Education/English/Communication
Current Regional Accredited Credits:
Bachelor’s Degree from National University in Japan:
129 Japanese undergraduate credits (never evaluated in the US)
LL.M. From third-tier ABA accredited US law school:
30 graduate-level credits
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: None
Any certifications or military experience? None
Budget: Under approx. $10K to complete the entire degree. The cheaper the better.
Commitments: None other than semi-full time work. I am especially free during spring and summer breaks so full-time study is not impossible.
Dedicated time to study: 20 hours per week and more during spring and summer breaks.
Timeline: As fast as possible; preferably within 12-18months.
I live outside the US and have been able to teach English as an adjunct using my Master’s. Eventually, I do want to finish a PhD and work in higher education.
Unfortunately, stipends aren’t common in PhD programs in my field, and I have been struggling to save up with my pay as an adjunct. I can live comfortably, but to save up for a PhD program will take years.
Alternatively, if I have a Master’s in Education/Communications, there are employers who are willing to take me as a full-time, non-tenured faculty.
Since I have a Master’s already, I don’t see the need to invest a whole lot in a TESOL degree via distance learning. The Spanish Titulo Propio I found was relatively cheap and can be completed within a year (approx. 11 months).
My Concerns:
1. If I decide to apply to a PhD program in the US or the UK, would this be a set back because it is a “non-official” degree? So far the discussion I’ve found is mostly on whether it would be accredited by an agency like WES, but are there any implications on the admission process?
2. If I want to continue adjunct teaching in the US, is this degree likely to be recognized?
Any thoughts or comments are much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Gen Z, Millennials lazier workers than Gen X and Boomers: study |

I have no sympathy for the lazy and entitled who when hired for a job, are told up front the job requirements, expectations, including hours, shifts, vacation and sick policy then try to renege on what they signed up for. Apparently no one ever told them you cannot dictate to your boss the terms of the job your are employed at. These are hourly workers who get time and a half for overtime which is mandatory (48 hours min) for a few months out of the year and they then have it easy the rest. This is definitely a generational issues which has started to appear over the last 10 years and is getting worse. I work for a billion dollar company and we have no shortage of people applying. I consistently wind up hiring more older workers because they are less likely to be lazy or entitled. My employees are managed very well and well compensated so I don't need any "resources". OT for those we keep can add up to over $20-30K to their yearly salary if they take advantage of it. Ten years ago I would have to send people home because they were working 80+ hours now some young snowflakes cannot be bothered to stay past 5 PM when we need them. These people are quickly cut loose and it is consistently Millennials and Gen Z. If most of them were not still living with their parents their attitude might change.

Your Location: Illinois, United States
Your Age: 23, 24 in a couple months.
What kind of degree do you want?: finance/economics/accounting/business
Current Regional Accredited Credits:
BUS 230 Principles of Finance
EGL 101 Composition I
MKT 131 Principles of Marketing
PSY 101 Introduction To Psychology
(12 credit hours total)
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: none, but willing to take as many
Budget: No budget
Commitments: no current commitments
Dedicated time to study: I can study as much as is needed
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: none.
I want to finish my undergraduate as fast as possible. Not to toot my own horn, more-so to give insight, but I’m a pretty “smart” student and dropped out of a top 20 school, I have a pretty good understanding of business, numbers, etc.
The only “exceptions” for degree that I have is that I want it to be in the field of business/finance/accounting. I am a very driven and motivated individual and I’ll be spending as much time as I can completing this. I just want to check off the degree and have it from an accredited university.
Also I should take Sophia/Study/etc credits prior to applying, right? It would mean a lot if I can get somewhat of a timeframe from how long it might take me. I will do as much sophia/study/etc credits and as fast I can. I will also do my UMPI/other uni courses as fast I can, but I assume theres some “hold up” with grading and other things. So I’m curious as to how fast I may be able to finish.

Hello all! I am trying to locate a spreadsheet or form that shows all the classes I can or would need to take before enrolling to UMPI. I am aware of study, Sophia, straightliner, CLEP, etc. I would love to find this list so I can tackle all the classes outside prior to enrolling so I can take on UMPI with ease. The less classes the better. Extra note: I would be transferring in an AAS Business Management so I am sure that’ll help a bit. (Not all my credits will transfer over) Thank you all!

Hi everyone,
I'm currently a student in the Bachelor of Political Science program at UMPI and am considering switching majors. While I appreciate the program, I'm hoping to pursue a field with less emphasis on writing essays and align more with my skills and interests.
Background:
- I have completed a significant number of computer science courses.
- I hold certifications in:
- Meta Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing
- Google Digital Marketing and Commerce
- Various marketing-related certifications from LinkedIn and Coursera
My UMPI evaluation indicates I need 24 classes to graduate.
I'm awaiting credit evaluation for the Google Ecommerce and Marketing course I recently completed.
[*]Questions:
- Which majors within UMPI offer minimal essay writing requirements? My strengths lie in analysis, problem-solving, and communication through other mediums.
- What is the process for switching majors at UMPI? What steps should I take to ensure a smooth transition? can i have a bachelor's in political science and digital marketing at the same time ?
- Which majors, considering my computer science and marketing background, could utilize the most credits from my current coursework? I'm eager to minimize credit loss and expedite my graduation timeline.
[*]Thank you in advance for your insights and guidance! I look forward to your responses and any advice you can offer.

A few others, children, were treated through tests, and this individual was the only one 'cured'. Hopefully, through more advancements and research, it will be a reality for many more children, youth, adults, and seniors.

Currently, there are two approved preventive vaccines (which I thought was for something else altogether)
