Hello,
I am interested in the Nightingale LPN-ASN program and want to transfer in as much as possible. I also did UMPI BLS degree in 2024 and finishing my LPN this spring. I want to transfer in/test out of as much as possible GE classes but they don't accept Sophia/Straighterline. They don't accept University of Phoenix classes and I wont start until fall so here is the list of classes I need to complete. Let me know if you have any advice or have done this program. Anything helps. Here are the classes in their general education requirements: A&P 1 and 2, Pathophsyiology, Nutrition, and College Algebra/Statistics. I want to finish by july. Thank you in advance.

Self-Paced (not CBE) Graduate Programs

Hello All,
I am trying to find graduate programs that are largely or entirely composed of self-paced courses. I don't want a CBE program where you pay a flat fee and complete as many courses as possible during the subscription period, but rather a program where you pay by the course and have a set period of time to complete the requirements with freedom to complete the requirements on your schedule. Basically, looking for the graduate-level equivalent of CLEP or something like BYU's independent study that is offered by a university or with formal credit-transfer agreements in place.
I have been thinking about Central Missouri's MS in Career and Technical Education, which allows students to complete up to 15 credits worth of courses on the CTE Learn platform. CTE Learn charges a flat fee of $295 per year for as many courses as you want to take and then there is a fee to transfer them to Central Missouri. Not totally what I am looking for, but pretty close.
I am specifically interested in business and education degrees.

DBA in 2026- What are your experiences? Open to recommendations

I'm looking at starting a DBA. South College is at the top of my list. Something caught my attention though. turbotortuga said, with locked assignment submissions and the new grading policy, the fastest you would be able to finish the Doctorate of Business Administration is 18 to 24 months, or 3-4 terms.
He goes on to say that 18 months may be possible, but the professor would have to grade faster than the allowed 72 hours. And oftentimes, professors have gone over 72 hours and hit four days, but that's not every time.
Okay! That's not ideal!
If anyone has enrolled at South College since this change around June 2025, is it possible to complete all but the last 18 credits (Applied Research Methods & Advanced Data Analysis + the Dissertation/Capstone) in a single 6 month term?
People working on DBAs outside of South College, when and where were you enrolled and how are your experiences leading up to the research, analysis, and capstone?
The other CBE for DBA that comes to mind is Capella though I'm not sure if they share a similar limitation/bottleneck when it comes to "locked assignment submissions" and or a "grading policy" that is up to 72 hours.
Initially I considered Liberty but a thread said that their Applied Doctoral Research Project (ADRP) is poorly developed, or something to that effect, and that people would not make it on time because they were waiting on the professor to grade their coursework to submit the subsequent assignments, thus failing and needing to repeat.
All input is welcome- especially if you started within the last year! Please- swarm me with your experiences!

Indian Institute of Skills Development Training

I am considering enrolling in a program offered by the Indian Institute of Skill Development Training (IISDT), and I would appreciate informed opinions before making a decision.
To clarify from the outset: I am fully aware that IISDT is not a university and does not hold government-recognized higher education accreditation. I am not seeking degree equivalence, UGC recognition, or any formal academic validation. I also understand the general nature and reputation of private accrediting bodies such as QAHE, so that aspect is not the focus of my question.
https://iisdt.in/
My interest lies specifically in non-regulated fields such as yoga and meditation, where formal state accreditation is often not required and many legitimate training pathways operate privately. In these domains, credibility is typically based more on teacher quality, lineage, curriculum depth, and practical competence than on formal academic status.
But I feel like perception still matters.
What I am trying to assess is the reputational dimension. In particular:
• How is IISDT generally perceived within yoga, meditation, or holistic professional circles?
• Would listing an IISDT certification in yoga or meditation on a CV or professional profile be considered neutral, positive, or potentially counterproductive?
• Is IISDT viewed as a legitimate private training provider, even if not formally accredited, or does it carry a reputation that could be considered questionable or “sketchy”?
• Has anyone here encountered IISDT credentials in real professional settings, and if so, how were they regarded?
I am not trying to substitute formal academic credentials. I am simply exploring additional training in yoga and meditation and want to ensure that obtaining a certification from IISDT would not inadvertently harm professional credibility.
In short, I am less concerned about formal recognition and more concerned about practical reputation.
Any candid opinions, technical insight, or first-hand experience would be greatly appreciated.

UMPI YourPace RN-to-BSN (Foreign BSN) and credential evaluation (NACES)

I’m applying to UMPI (YourPace) and need a credential evaluation for a Philippines BSN, early 2000s)
I’m trying to pick the evaluator that has the best chance of being accepted smoothly by UMPI for admission and ideally transfer/credit review for the RN-to-BSN. I want a US BSN degree, and UMPI confirmed it’s allowed even with a foreign BSN that’s from decades ago.
I’m trying to avoid WES. Between ECE (course-by-course), IEE (course-by-course), and Scholaro (convenient since they accept scans, so it will be quicker, although AICE), which one has the best track record specifically with UMPI or Maine schools and better evaluation results? If anyone has recent experience with UMPI accepting Scholaro, I’d love to hear it.
Second question for future planning: after UMPI, I may want a master’s with a CBE or self-paced online vibe. If you’ve done that path, which schools would you recommend for a master’s later (WGU, Capella FlexPath, Purdue Global ExcelTrack, or something else)?
I do want a RA Brick and Mortar CBE like UMPI.
So I guess there aren’t much out there yet.
I’m trying to avoid wasting money on an evaluator UMPI won’t accept. Thanks!
