Signed up for this on Thur, took the test Sat morning, got a 62. I have a solid background on the subject, but IC was an awesome refresher. If you don't know the subject, this site won't help much, but it's an awesome study aid.

I just took Intro to World Religions Dantes test and think I did really bad!
There was so much on it that I didn't know. Anyone take that test and felt the same way?
Also, how long do you have to wait to take it again?

Thanks

  Intro to Sociology this friday
Posted by: Inteljustice - 04-24-2007, 09:00 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (7)

After passing principles of managment and intro to psych, I've decided to take intro to sociology. I'm studying the IC flashcards and have the rea book. I'm not really big on the practice tests whether its by petersons or the ones in the rea book, I'd rather just do a brain dump the day of the test, instead of exhausting energy on pre tests. I'm pretty confident about this exam as IC only has 157 questions, terms to memorize which is half as much as psychology. Any test taking tips on this subject would be appreciated.
Best Regards

study materials for TECEP Research in Ex. Psych
Posted by: sgoeckner - 04-24-2007, 01:13 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - No Replies

Howdy All:

Just wondering: has anyone taken the TECEP exam "Research in Experimental Psych" using only the instantcert materials, and if so, what was the result?

And, speaking of nothing, thanks to you all for the valuable info on this forum/site. I found it after completing about 100 credits testing out using other materials and wish I'd found it sooner...

  Wishful Thinking about Humanities?
Posted by: Alina - 04-23-2007, 07:52 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

I’m sure this is a stupid questions but, I couldn't find the answer anywhere else in the forum.

On all the Humanities practice quizzes there are 150 questions. To score a 50 and pass do you need to get 50% (75) or just 33% (50)?

The topic is insanely broad. I've been studying for a month and I only get about 46% from Petersons and 56% from the Comix. (in addition to 90% of the instantcert flashcards)

  Fundamentals of nursing ECE?
Posted by: Johanna - 04-23-2007, 07:17 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

Has anyone taken this ECE exam? It looks very easy and could fill 8 applied professional credits for my BA. Is it as easy as it sounds? I am not a nurse but I did raise a family with lots of medical issues, Wink and I have a basic nursing practices book from the library that I am perusing. Do I need to do more?

MY Miracle of Testing Out and Thank You!
Posted by: mapalo - 04-23-2007, 06:09 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

Just wanted to take a moment to reflect and thank everyone

In August 2006 I started a degree at the University of Phoenix; it took me about 7 months to get 15 credits units with and accumulated close to $7500 in student loans
And then I came across IC via Google search and it took me about another month or so before even discover or logon this forum.

One night I literally spent the whole night reading through pass threads and for the first in my twenty something years on this earth I heard about the Big three and testing out
I though it was too good to be true, but I went on and reached it and there was my miracle.
I immediately decided to drop out of UOP and started looking at EC, after some encouragement from the wonderful people on the forum I made my final decision and enrolled at EC.
Today just about two months in this exciting adventure I have gotten 15 more credit units between CLEP and Dantes in between work, travel and Vacation with an exact cost of $385 dollars

Compare 15 credits units 7+ months and &7500 in student loans to 15 credit units in two months cost $382 fully paid for.

What can I can I am so grateful, I know I still have a long way to go, but Boy I am walking on cloud 9 OH plus I have an extra 9 FEMA credits

I just want to say thank you everyone

Biology Clep - Content of exam
Posted by: carlosamador2006 - 04-23-2007, 09:34 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (20)

For those of you that have taken the Biology Clep what would you say were the key components to have down - such as cell division (Mitosis and Meiosis), plant structures, etc. I would appreciate any and all insight on this matter as I am taking my test wed.

I feel ready and am doing good with the practice exams - just wondering what everyone thought were key ideas to the exam.

As well when I take my exam I will list what is fresh on my head from taking the test to share with the rest of the group. Smile
