Well...today was the day that I attempted to take 2 exams in one day...without having studied too much for either. Between the 2 exams, I probably put in a total of 3 hours between IC & Peterson's for a brush-up. I scored 55 on the CLEP Info Systems, and got a 53 on the DSST Management Info Systems. hilarious That's 2 more down!! Woo hoo!

Hey all! I am new to this site but am thankful I found it. The flashcards are great and the forums give a lot of information. I am taking the Here's to your Health test tomorrow morning(sat 4/28) and any advice or tips would be helpful! I am done with my required classes for my BS in Criminal Justice, just need 12 more units (since I didn't finish my AA in Jr College) to be completely done. Figured might as well try and test out!! Again any help would be great this is my first test, so thanks in advance!!

I always wanted a degree, but never had the time because of jobs and kids. I started this on March 5th of this year and achieved the 90 credit mark yesterday. Thirty more and I have a BS in business, should be done by the end of May. Not bad for a guy who is 54 and no college. When I get a chance I'll post my scores.

Well I'm finished. Took my last ECE test the other day and should have degree conferred in a couple of weeks.
I found this sight to be an excellent resource and would recommend it to anyone. Used it pretty much exclusively for test prep and did quite well. A quick synopsis:
DSST Civil War: Used IC and watched Burns film twice. Got an A (63)
DSST Rise Fall USSR: IC and Rudman book. A (61)
DSST Drug/ alcohol abuse. IC ONLY. A (61)
ECE Ab Psychology. IC ONLY. B
ECE Gerontology. IC ONLY. C
ECE Adulthood and Aging. IC ONLY. A
ECE IL required course. studied the online modules for about 4 hours total. Took the practice quizzes a couple of times then scored an 86 on the final.
Studied EXTENSIVELY for the DSST tests. Found them quite difficult but the results were happy.
Studied ONLY IC on the ECE tests and found them difficult, but manageable. IC was all that was needed for these tests. Probably wouldn't recomment an IC only strategy for the DSST history tests. IC is more than adequate for DSST drug/ alcohol.
Anyway. Hope this is helpful for anyone thats just starting. Good luck all!

I'm going to try to take the CLEP exam, Social Sciences and History (6 credits), on the 4th. I've already taken actual coursework in introductory macro/micro economics, and passed both courses. My intention is to study the InstantCert entries on the following:
U.S. History I: Early Colonizations to 1877 (3 credits)
U.S. History II: 1865 to the Present (3 credits)
Introductory Psychology (3 credits)
Introductory Sociology (3 credits)
I'm fairly strong in US History and have a good basic knowledge of psych. So what I'm going to try to do is on the same day I take the Social Sciences and History exam, see if I can work in US History Part I and Part II. Then soon after double back and take Intro Psych and Intro Soc. Do others think this (blitzing InstantCert) will give me a passing score on "Social Sciences and History," and enable me to scoop up 18 credits in I hope less than two weeks? Thanks.
