Finding Desirable Testing Locations/Frequencies |

I've gone through pretty much every testing center for both the DSST and CLEP exams in my region (there are maybe 5 total, within ~1 hr drive). Some of them won't have anything until the fall, and others require one test per day (sometimes choice between DSST or CLEP), on a monthly schedule, and you have to sign up before the month starts, which is something of an annoyance if you are uncertain if you can study up within the narrow time period that would allow. What I'd like to do is spend a week per course, and take an exam once a week. I'm not sure I can do this with the limited testing offerings, and when I schedule them, I won't be certain I'll have acquired the necessary knowledge by exam time. How have others managed to adapt the capricious and inflexible exam schedules for their regions? It really seems like it's set up to discourage course blitzing.

So I took the intro to psych today, passed with a 60 on only 4 hours a sleep from the night before. This is something I wouldn't recommend. But it couldn't be helped in my case. The night before, someone busted into my house while I was in it. They heard me and left before taking anything. I had to call the locksmith and have new deadbolts put on at the cost of $300. My luck lately has been really bad. My lesson out of all this is no matter what obstacles you go through in life, just keep your head up and realize that to get to the top of the mountain, you have to go through challenges before the final summit has been reached.

Credit banking with one of the "Big Three" |

I have a problem I was hoping I could get some thoughts on. Recently ACE finally got around to evaluate one of the training schools I've been to in the Navy. They ended up awarding 15 upper level electronic credits for it. This evaluation happened 11/06. I went through the school in 8/05. After contacting ACE, they informed me that I was ineligible for the credit because I attended before the actual evaluation period. They also mentioned that it is ultimately up to the individual college to assess my training, and that they are free to use the recommended credit even though ACE won't put it on my SMART transcript. I'm looking to salvage some of these credits, with 15 upper levels I can't help but feel compelled to try.
The best I can come up with is try to credit bank at a RA college that will work with me, since its really a technicality denying me these credits I feel I have honestly earned. I figure that Excelsior, Thomas Edison, or Charter Oak will probably be my best shot at this.
For those who attend any of these schools, which would you say is the most understanding for a situation like this? I'm not looking to enroll, but merely to get these on a transcript I can use later on.
If anyone could think of another school that may help, I'd love to hear about it.
Any ideas?

What is everyone taking for Math that is enrolled in the LA program for Excelsior? Is there Liberal Arts Math or any other kind of math besides Algebra. I don't want to clep it and don't want to take algebra in a classroom. Are there any other options?

I am still new to the forum so hopefully I am not duplicating efforts here. I found this link today that took me to a free pdf of Peterson's CLEP prep tests. It's a 2005 edition but still may give some valuable information. I searched the link and did not see that it was in another thread so I hope it will be of help to someone. The subjects included were Composition, College Math, Humanities, Social Sciences & History and Natural Science.
I bombed biology this week so I signed up for Natural Science and was searching hard for more resouces. I am also going to order the David and Laurie download. Any feedback on that would be great.
This forum is an excellent resoure. It keeps me encourage.
Here's the link: http://www.petersons.com/pdf/free/ClepSuccess.pdf
