Hello everybody,

just to share my exitement, that it might have been my last exam yesterday.
I passed the DANTES - Personal Finances, DANTES - HR (got the results yesterday) and passed the ECE - Org. Behavior (on Monday) and the ECE - Research Methods in Psychology (yesterday).

I'm soo happy that I found IC and this great forum. I would have not been able to do it without you!!!

I'll keep you posted about the 3 outstanding results.

  MBA anyone?
Posted by: ChristaKB - 03-07-2007, 12:37 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (11)

Now that I graduate next month from EC, I have been looking at reasonably established colleges that offer on-line MBA degrees and are still affordable (I do not consider $1800 per class affordable). I found Amberton College. What do you think?[URL="http://www.amberton.edu/MDegrees.HTM#MANAGEMENT"]

I also considered the University of Aspen but there are so many schools to choose from, I don't know what's best.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude, would that give me a good chance to get a scholarship with one of the good schools (Texas A&M or Rice?). I have no experience with this whatsoever!

Thanks!

Christa

Took Intro to Ed Psych today....

and passed with a 52....whew!!!! I couldn't believe it. It really bothers me to pass by the skin of my teeth, but at least its another pass. I don't feel like I really studied anything that was on that test. It was weird because I felt confident about it when I was taking it, but I was surprised when I saw my score. I hope to soon get a score in the 60's.....:o

  Degree Question
Posted by: Machelle - 03-06-2007, 04:51 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (7)

This question is not really CLEP related, but I need to get a bit of encouragement about attaining a degree. I will have my BS/BA degree by February 2008 (that is, if I pass all four of the CLEP's I have left), and as I'm looking for potential jobs, I am wondering if I will be able to even land a good paying job even if I don't have the specific experience they are looking for. I would like to go into accounting or finance, but I am worried that I won't get hired because I don't have the experience. I know that a degree is a worthwhile goal, but will it truly transform into more money? It seems most people going for a degree are already in the field or company that they want to be in and a degree will enable them to move up the ladder, but I want an entirely different job. As a side note, I plan on going on to get my MBA, which will take me one year more. Say for instance, I wanted to go into management, but I only have the MBA and no experience. As you can see, I am still deciding what I want to be when I grow up (I'm 43..lol)

Any thoughts?

Last minute help. Sociology Clep tomorrow
Posted by: Alina - 03-06-2007, 03:27 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

This is my first Clep ever.

I've studied instantcert's flashcards (I know them well) and taken 3 practice tests scoring in the mid 60's (out of 100). Could someone tell me if these are sufficient scores to pass?

Does guessing count against you?

How many questions are on the test?

Thanks in advance! I will hopefully have good news tomorrow

  Intro to business study question
Posted by: pitbull30 - 03-06-2007, 03:21 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (1)

Just joined IC and the first exam I plan to take is "intro to business."

Assuming I start studying now what do you think would be a decent ammount of time to prepare before going to take this?

Also for those of you who have taken this exam did you use IC only or something else to supplement?

Thanks

Physical Science, Drug & Alchohol, and Labor Relations
Posted by: naturallyme82 - 03-06-2007, 12:00 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - No Replies

Hello all!

I am a few credits away from graduating but I need to get a few tests done before April. I need a science, an UL, and labor relations.

As far as science goes, I'm debating between DSST Physical Science and CLEP natural science. I'm no good at biology. Has anyone taken Physical Science?

Drug and Alcohol abuse seems to be my best option for the UL credit but looking at IC, there seems to be a lot to learn. Any recommendations for study matierial to supplement IC?

IC doesn't have anything on the ECE labor relations. Has anyone done this test?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  English Comp w/ essay
Posted by: pjdnjackson - 03-06-2007, 11:20 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

I have been studying for the English Comp w/essay and have found the fill in the blank portion to be a bear. Choosing which error a sentence has is rough. Has anyone taken the exam and what can you tell me about it? Thanks
