I finally studied for and sat this test. I went on a vacation to Germany and took care of my side business for a few weeks so I am now playing catch-up.
I started off by downloading and reading the PRB documents for World Population:
http://www.prb.org/pdf/PopHandbook_Eng.pdf
http://www.prb.org/pdf06/06WorldDataSheet.pdf
And the PRB docs for India and China
http://www.prb.org/TemplateTop.cfm?Secti...ountry=419
http://www.prb.org/TemplateTop.cfm?Secti...isplay.cfm
BE SURE TO READ THE LINKS ON THE PRB ABOUT EACH COUNTRY AS WELL!
And then I did some searches for online quizzes to se if I was retaining the info I was reading. These are a few that I found (keep in mind these are not recommended by ECE, but I did see some of this information verbatim on the test!)
http://maps.unomaha.edu/Peterson/funda/Q...tion2.html
http://map.sdsu.edu/group2002/group3/QuizPopulation.htm
http://www.faculty.fairfield.edu/faculty...opquiz.htm
http://www.populationconnection.org/Comm...ion%20quiz'
http://exchanges.state.gov/Forum/Journal...vities.htm
I then downloaded the ECE guide for this test and took the practice test only AFTER I did all my studying. I wanted to gauge my knowledge of the material, not learn the test. (Tried to attach but it was too large according to IC rules)
And finally....... I read the World Population book, 8th edition, by John Weeks (OK... so I only read the main points at the end of each chapter). I checked it out at the library, so no cost there.
As I took the 130 question test, I felt at ease, but wondered who all the people were who thought it was a walk in the park, if I hadn't prepared I would have failed failed failed. It was very general without focusing too much in any one area. I thought I passed but I thought I passed the ECE HRM test too:mad: so I won't get cocky till I see a grade, then I'm sure I'll join in saying it was the easiest test ever! Hope this helps someone, Lee

I am so close- I have one final exam to take tomorrow in a gender roles traditional course, self paced, and 4 assignments to submit in another self paced sociology course, plus the final.
It is hard not studying towards a test. I can hardly make myself write these long, laborious essays, even though the material is very interesting.
Plus, it is taking IU awhile to process all my CBE results. I know I passed all those exams, achieving the needed scores for IU, but it takes awhile to go through the registrar. It's discouraging to get an "updated plan of study" that only shows about half of my exam credits.
The other day I just photocopied all my official print out results and sent them on so at least the registrar would know what was coming eventually.
It's like I have CBE withdrawal. I will finish everything, despite my whining.
I will take my last traditional course exam by the end of October, perhaps on Halloween!
Sorry to have been away from the board. I have had so many family events going on, plus computer issues, (I couldn't remember my password, as I normally am automatically logged in).
Good job everybody! It is amazing to log on and see how much everyone has achieved!

Any tips, websites or advice on writing a resume? It is necessary for my application for my masters program. I have never had to write one, so any help/advice would be great. Thanks.

Hello forum-
I am taking ECE college writing this Friday (6/Oct) at 2:00 this week. I have to make a drive of two hours just to get to the Pearson testing center, and it's a bit nerve racking thinking about it, considering what I've read. I think I can make it, but only time will tell.
I went through the threads and found invaluable information on this test, and I have practically memorized some of these threads. I am going to a strange testing center, far away, with no proctor that I will recognize, to take a test that may possible be the hardest yet. I'll be praying hard on Friday!:o
