Pausing Enrollment at TESU |

I am enrolled at Thomas Edison in the Computer Science program (with 90 credits). I have an opportunity to pursue a degree in Nursing from a different school using a government program. The problem is, to pursue this opportunity I can not finish the TESU degree first. The government program will only pay for a first bachelors.
I can not find much direction on this. I found an article on tesu.edu called Inactive Students to Apply for Graduation, but it is too vague to be helpful. I've read here that TESU students get locked into a degree plan and that their degree plan might change if they leave and come back.
Note that the degree from the other school will take me a minimum of two years and as much as four. Given this, my questions are:
1. Is there any way to pause my student status, keeping my current degree plan?
2. If not, how often does TESU change the Computer Science degree plan? Is there somewhere I can see historic changes?
Any other advice or guidance is welcome.

TESU computer science and information systems are the same degree |

Morning,
I transferred in all my courses from Sophia and studydotcom for computer science degree and information systems to take both at the time, but an advisor was telling me that the two degrees are almost the identical and no one is taking both at the same time because they are overlapping each other with only 3 courses are allowed. These two degrees can be full fill with the study.com courses. Basically, I will get a degree from study.com with the official name of TESU. there is zero school out there with the degrees in computer science and information systems that the students didn’t require to take any of the computer science courses with the school and still can graduates . that only at TESU.

I submitted my transcripts on September 4 and was able to pay for graduation 15 minutes ago. Don't get discouraged - they're still working on stuff behind the scenes and pushing students through to get their degrees.
I will mention that be very aware of your Sophia credits transferring in - I had one class not show up and it turns out I was in the class when they released an update which made my Credly badge all wonky and Pierpont (understandably) did not notify me nor count the class. If that happens, just call Sophia and they will fix it - mine took all of 30 seconds to update. Catherine in the Registrar's office is incredibly prompt and helpful if you need to confirm.
On a personal note -- I have to thank this forum from the bottom of my heart. I dropped out of highschool due to an abusive childhood 20 years ago and while I got my GED, I felt less than all of my peers my entire adulthood (even though I'm very successful in my career) because I did not have any sort of degree. I took some college classes here, some there, but never was able to follow through on getting my degrees completed. I saw mentions of this forum on Reddit somewhere when the updates about the residency requirements came out, and I spent a 3 day weekend pushing through my remaining 3 classes. I have gained so much confidence in myself and my ability to follow through on something academically which I thought I had lost.

Binghamton University System Science PhD for $15k |

Binghamton University (SUNY) has an online PhD in System Science.
It requires 30 credits, but only 24 of these need to be from the university. At a tuition of $620.45 per credit hour (including fees) for out of state students, this totals just below $15k for the entire degree. In state students get an even better deal at $471/credit hour plus some fees.
They have many different research areas such as computer modeling, health systems, information systems, machine leaning, statistics, sustainability, and even transdisciplinary research which allows for many different areas if research.
Binghampton is a top school in the US (US News at 73 overall, 34 for public schools)
Might be a good option not just for people STEM, but other computational “soft” sciences like social science, economics, etc.

As a student in their DBA program, I was given the opportunity by Greate Learning to present a free course in project management.
Please, write me PM and I will send you the link.
There is only one free place for one person. So ask me for a link to the program if only you are really interested in studying at Greate Learning.
