I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Finance at Thomas Edison State University (TESU). At this stage, I have two courses remaining to complete my degree requirements: the Capstone course and the Cornerstone course. However, before I proceed to graduation, I want to ensure that I am not missing out on any opportunities to obtain a double or an associate degree.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could review my academic credits and provide guidance on whether I am eligible for an additional degree. Specifically, I am interested in understanding if there are any additional courses or requirements I could fulfill to maximize my educational accomplishments before I graduate.
Additionally, I plan to pay the residency waiver fee. Although I am aware that there are more cost-effective ways to complete the residency requirement, I have specific reasons for choosing this path.

Furthermore, my final ACE credit is still pending. This credit is for a Business Communication course from Study.com, which has not yet been applied to my transcript. I am waiting for TESU to process and apply this credit.

Could someone please assist me by reviewing my credits and providing guidance on the best course of action to achieve my educational goals? Your help in identifying the most efficient and beneficial path forward would be immensely valuable.

I received word after enrolling for Fall 2024 that South Texas College will be charging regular tuition for each class for their CBE program. I am still heavily debating trying TAMUC after this news or somewhere else.

Here are the tuition rates currently as of this month.

Edit: If I completed 18 hours would be roughly $2700.

Hi I looked through all 12 pages of the Master class reviews and didn’t see anyone talk about these classes

Only one person mentioned advanced but I couldn’t find info on how many milestones, the final and who taught the class. I know most do these at study and transfer them in but most likely I will do them at umpi and wanted some more info.

]Yes, we have yet another university in Mexico that offers a myriad of 100% online degrees, mostly in law and social sciences, but also have computer degrees.

The courses seem catered to Mexicans since they demand an INE voting card ID and the CURP to sign up. Masters demand a cédula profesional which could be cumbersome to obtain abroad.

Their 3 doctorate degrees in law, education and management last 2 years and are done all Saturday 8am 11 pm once a month. They also offer some other courses such as a Spanish grammar course that might be useful for TESU's Spanish BA.

Seems like the degrees have RVOE.

I couldn’t find costs of the degree on the website, but they have a triptic mentioning their doctorates cost around 2300 mxn a month which is insanely cheap. The entire doctorate would cost less than 3000 USD.

Their education masters degree costs 1900 mxn a month, so around 2000 USD.

Jonathan Whatley posted about William Woods University in another thread, but I thought their DBA deserved its own thread because it has three dissertation options: dissertation for professional practice, dissertation for publication, and traditional dissertation.

They're ACBSP-accredited, tuition is reasonable, up to 50% of the program can be transferred in, and the program can take as little as 12 months to complete.

I'm trying to support my 16-year-old nephew who feels behind academically due to being held back a grade. To ease his stress, I'm funding courses on Sophia, Saylor, and potentially Modern States to help him catch up. He prefers Sophia's learning format and is anxious about Modern States' CLEP prep.
I've created a tentative plan using Sophia Modern State courses for potential credit at Snow College (though I'm uncertain if they accept high school students).

A fully online PhD in Computer Science is upcoming from the University of Southern Mississippi, approved this week by the Board of Trustees for the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning. The program will be based on USM's on-campus program which currently leads to a PhD in Computational Science with emphasis in Computer Science. The new online program will "elevate it to a standalone degree" in Computer Science.

I do hate to see legitimate schools fall upon hard times.

CINCINNATI — Union Institute & University announced its permanent closure Friday, effective June 30. The decision follows 15 months of turmoil for students and employees of the Walnut Hills college that was a pioneer in distance learning and Ohio’s only Hispanic-serving institution.

Union’s accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission, said the school approved teach-out arrangements with Antioch University in Yellow Springs and Lasell University in Newton, Mass.

In the wiki, it says to do the following courses at Study.com (marked with question marks) but they are not listed as requirements at UMPI:

This news story is six months old, but it's something to watch over the next couple of years. Purdue Global has an agreement to pay 12.5% of its proceeds plus fixed fees for online program management to Kaplan. From what I've heard from Purdue Global faculty, Kaplan is not good at providing those program management services. Anyway, Purdue Global has a net operating loss of $95 million, and neither the Purdue system nor Indiana taxpayers can legally cover Purdue Global's debts.
