I just checked the ACE accreditation deadline for multiple Coursera certificates and am pleased to let all of you know that all of the ones that had an expiration date of 06/30/2025 (today) have been renewed, with expiration dates in 2027-2028.

New Walden Tempo CBE Postdoc Certs; Could Tempo CBE Doctorates Be Next?
Posted by: Jonathan Whatley - 06-30-2025, 05:21 AM - Forum: Doctorate Degree Discussion - Replies (17)

Walden University’s subscription-priced competency-based education program Tempo Learning, which previously only offered programs at the bachelor’s and master’s level, just listed on their landing page two programs at a new level, and it’s a leapfrog two levels higher.

The programs are the Post-Doctoral Bridge to Management Certificate (20 quarter hours) and the Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Administration Certificate (25 quarter hours). The certificates are “designed for professionals who already hold a doctoral degree and need to take additional doctoral courses.”

The Bridge to Management offers specializations in

  • 21st Century Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Systems Management
  • Leadership and Organizational Strategy
  • Organizational Design and Innovation
The Bridge to Business Administration offers specializations in
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Healthcare Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Leadership
Walden’s Tempo CBE tuition page does not yet list the tuition for these programs in the CBE format.

This next part is just me speculating, but after offering these certificates consisting of doctoral-level courses in the CBE modality, it wouldn’t be surprising if Walden’s next step is to offer complete doctoral degrees in management or business administration in the CBE modality. They already offer these doctorates in traditional semester-scheduled, per-credit-priced non-CBE modality.

  Somewhat new here
Posted by: Mike25mg - 06-30-2025, 01:28 AM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (8)

Hello all, I am somewhat new here, can’t find my old user name so I made a new one. I plan on enrolling into TESU as I did before. I knocked out about 15 SH there before life took over and I had to stop. I’m currently waiting for them to eval my JST and a few other things (CSMLearn, an ethics class I took, hopefully they accept it, and a few Sophia courses.) I’m looking at trying to use Study.com for most of my credits. Thinking an associates in business (no capstone) then perhaps a BALS with a concentration in business or computer. I am the type or personality who has to see tangible progress which is why I’m opting associates first. Plus it could help me get promoted at work. Have to have it turned in by Sept. (so it’s a slight possibility) hence the reason for study.com and also looking at coursea from Google. Just looking for guidance, once I get my eval I can be more open to what I have. Maybe talked off the deepens of a bad decision?

  Starter plan

If I start with the $95 dollar one, will I be able to upgrade later to the other plan? (I’m willing to bet it’s a yes but better to know first)

CLEP: Accounting vs. Micro vs. Macro vs. Social Science
Posted by: Seba - 06-28-2025, 10:41 PM - Forum: CLEP, DSST, and TECEP Exam Discussion. Also Modern States and InstantCert. - Replies (2)

Hey everyone!
I’d really appreciate your help figuring out which course is the easiest CLEP: Financial Accounting, Social Science and History, Microeconomics, or Macroeconomics.
I have basically zero background in Accounting and Economics, except for a super basic econ class I took back in high school. I have taken the World History AP exam before and passed US history I and I CLEPs as well.
Thanks in advance!

Posted by: Jonathan Whatley - 06-28-2025, 03:03 PM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (2)

The 2025-2026 TESU catalog just dropped, and they now offer several more Undergraduate Certificates than they did last academic year.

Certificates denoted with no asterisk or dagger are 18 credit hours, those with asterisks * are 15 credit hours, and those with daggers † are 12 credit hours.

  East Texas A&M - Plan
Posted by: darthweezy - 06-28-2025, 01:56 PM - Forum: General "Big 3", B&M colleges, and other colleges - Replies (22)

It’s been a while since I posted about undergrad degrees. I have a young lady in my department who’s ready to start her degree journey. She’s a Texas resident with zero credits, and from what I’ve seen, TAMUC’s BAAS in Organizational Leadership looks like a solid option and one she's interested in.

Sophia wasn’t one of the sources I used when I earned my degree, but I found this plan using Sophia for most of the alt credit:

https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan

Are there any other updated plans out there? I’d like to give her a couple options. Also, with 3–5 hours a day to study (plus weekends), what’s a ballpark cost estimate if she maxes out Sophia/Alt credits?

Thanks in advance!

Posted by: Ares - 06-28-2025, 09:41 AM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (3)

Has anyone successfully transferred Sophia's "Career Readiness" or "Intro to Career Readiness" to TESU?

If so what did it transfer in as?

Thanks in advance.
