  Graduated - graduate school
Posted by: supernoms - 11-03-2025, 12:43 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (5)

I graduated and I was thinking of eventually going to graduate school for a masters.  Does the study.com/sophia affect your ability to get in to schools or does it generally not matter as long as you have your degree/

Unimarconi Master Sales at AICAD, ESEH, and Formacion Alcala
Posted by: NotJoeBiden - 11-01-2025, 10:48 PM - Forum: Graduate School Discussion - Replies (11)

Formacion Alcala is offering Unimarconi Official Masters, similar to ENEB, for €2,725. They offer them in various medical-adjacent fields and are only in Spanish, but with a translator, they might be a competitive offer for those interested.

  ISEB and UNISEB
Posted by: wow - 10-31-2025, 02:27 PM - Forum: Graduate School Discussion - Replies (59)

I am making this post to create a thread to talk about ISEB and UNISEB outside of the ENEB thread. ISEB offers Universidad Isabel I propios, with a few additional topics not offered by ENEB, all in Spanish: https://iseb.es/

I am no expert, but hopefully those who are will hop on. For example, I don't understand the difference between ISEB and UNISEB in terms of getting a UI1 propio.

Looking over the course curricula, they seem more robust than masstercursos/CLEA: https://www.masstercursos.com/

IDK anything about how ISEB, UNISEB, and Masstercursos get evaluated.

  Cheapest Online Doctorate/PhD
Posted by: thequietman - 10-31-2025, 03:22 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (5)

Hi guys, I am new to this forum, so be gentle please. Smile

I teach at a Thai university & have a MBA. I would like to get a small salary bump, for completing a doctorate.

I suppose an Asian institution would be best, but am open to suggestions. Price is everything - not prestige. As long as it is accredited in its country, I'm happy and so is my university.

Many thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. Have a great day.

do math coursses for a math degree have to be designated at math ?
Posted by: bluebooger - 10-30-2025, 02:20 PM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (3)

confusing post title, I know
but wasn't sure of a better way to write it

These two courses are offered online through Stony Brook University -- which is part of SUNY (State University of New York)

Applied Calculus III
AMS-261-30
Stony Brook University

You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
Vector algebra and analytic geometry in two and three dimensions; multivariable differential calculus and tangent planes; multivariable integral calculus; optimization and Lagrange multipliers; vector calculus including Green's and Stokes's theorems. May not be taken for credit in addition to MAT 203 or 205.

Course Area: Statistics
Level: Lower Level Undergraduate
Dates: 01-06-2026 - 01-23-2026

https://explore.suny.edu/courses/1384885

https://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/ams/a...ams261.php

Applied Calculus IV: Differential Equations
AMS-361-30
Stony Brook University

You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
Homogeneous and inhomogeneous linear differential equations; systems of linear differential equations; solution with power series and Laplace transforms; partial differential equations and Fourier series. May not be taken for credit in addition to the equivalent MAT 303.

Course Area: Statistics
Level: Upper Level Undergraduate
Dates: 01-06-2026 - 01-23-2026

https://explore.suny.edu/courses/1384892

https://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/ams/a...ses/ams361

but as you can see they are in the statistics area -- AMS 261 and AMS 361
they are not in the math area

https://www.math.stonybrook.edu/MAT203

https://www.math.stonybrook.edu/MAT303

so for a bachelors in mathematics from TESU, does TESU accept courses that are not designated as math courses, but are the equivalent ?

ABD friendly doctorate with max transfer RA preferred under 15k finish fast
Posted by: Docu - 10-29-2025, 11:43 PM - Forum: Doctorate Degree Discussion - Replies (46)

I already have an MBA from a regionally accredited school and some ENEB certificates evaluated as grad level credits. I also have the MAOL.

Now I’m looking to move on to a doctorate. I want a PhD mainly for professional credibility, not for teaching or academic work. I do consulting in healthcare and run a few business and legal-related projects.

I’ve been considering a few options:
• DHA and PhD
• PhD and DBA
• DHA and DBA

My main goal is to strengthen my credentials for credibility with investors and clients. Employers and investors in my field usually like seeing a PhD, DBA, or DHA background. I know some people here may not like “fast” or low-cost options, but I’m just looking for something realistic and legitimate.

Ideally, I want something that can be finished in about a year, especially if transfer credits are accepted. I have a lot of graduate credits in business and healthcare, so if I could transfer those and focus mainly on the dissertation or oral defense, that would be ideal. I don’t mind completing a dissertation or oral defense, which I know is usually mandatory for PhDs except for a few doctorates like the DHA.

I’ve been accepted to OKSTATE for spring and also got an offer from VUL. Kairos looks solid but would take around four years at $600 per term, which is longer than I’d like. Williamswood said they could accept up to 50% transfer credit and quoted around $20k total if everything transfers, which seems reasonable.

I’m also curious if anyone knows of a PhD under $15k that is flexible, maybe competency-based, or can be completed faster. I’ve looked at UK top-up programs that take a Level 8 qualification to top up the last two years of a DBA at UClan. That seems like the fastest route I’ve seen so far.

If anyone has suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
