Why so little info on Chemistry CLEP?
Posted by: Drummerboy - 07-25-2007, 03:41 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

Hey everyone!

I looked over the forums and it appears that there is very little info concerning the Chemistry CLEP. Does anyone have any idea why not many people take it? Also, I know the question has been asked before, but "Has anyone taken the Chemistry CLEP?"Smile

  Finals Tomorrow
Posted by: Blonco - 07-25-2007, 02:57 PM - Forum: Off Topic - Replies (8)

I will be taking my last 2 finals at my B&M school tomorrow. After my finals tomorrow, I will be 9 hours short of graduation which I will fullfill through DANTES and ECE. Its a good feeling, but almost scary as I have been going to school full-time, working 2 jobs, trying to be the best husband possible, and prepare for a newborn around Christmas. I am not sure what will occupy my time, but it has got to be better than school!

Thanks again for all the help around here. This has been a great site that has helped me get this far without spending countless numbers of wasteful hours sitting in a boring lecture.

  Electives for TESC?
Posted by: Farmerboy - 07-25-2007, 02:44 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (2)

Hi all,
For my degree in management from TESC I have as one of my electives Business Law II. I have struggled with Business Law I and was wondering if I could substitute Principles of Supervision instead. However, I have already taken Principles of Management, Org. Behavior, and HRM. Would this be a duplication of credit?

REBT founder - Dr. Albert Ellis - R.I.P.
Posted by: ShotoJuku - 07-24-2007, 08:07 PM - Forum: Off Topic - Replies (2)

For those students of Psychology it may interest you to know that Dr. Albert Ellis, the Grandfather of cognitive-behavioral therapies and the developer of the REBT system (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) passed away today. I did a major paper on Dr. Ellis and REBT & ABC theory when I completed my M.S. Psychology degree.

  College Algebra: Reciprocals

Are reciprocals, aka multiplicative inverses, going to be on the exam?

Edit: I've figured out how they work now, but still want to know if they'll be on the exam.

  Ethics in America essay
Posted by: studyhard - 07-24-2007, 04:19 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

I have been told that TESC does not require the essay from this exam. Is that correct?

Also, if someone can tell me some specific logistics, that'd be helpful---I hear "essay" and "essay questions" and stuff used interchangeably and I'm really sorta perplexed as to what is actually on the test. Smile Is it just all multiple choice and yes/no, with an optional essay? Help, I'm getting nervous not knowing what to expect!!!!!

  CLEP Management and DSST Supervision
Posted by: studyhard - 07-24-2007, 04:06 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (7)

I've gone through and looked at a bunch of the old threads but I want to get a clear consensus from y'all.

If I use the Comex guide and IC for CLEP Prin. of Management, and then do JUST IC and the DSST practice exam/review for DSST Prin. of Supervision, should that earn me a comfortable pass on Prin. of Supervision?

Thanks!

Excelsior College vs average state college
Posted by: 4dkids - 07-24-2007, 02:51 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (12)

I had only come to know the name "Excelsior College" through this forum. Would you say a diploma from Excelsior College holds as much esteem as your average state college/university? Thank youSmile
