Okay so I decide that while I'm on reserve duty I would take 3 tests, which are offered on Tuesday's and Thursday's at the base education center. After getting to the base, I study for two nights and take Human Resource Management-ECE. While at the ed center I ask if I could take two tests on Thursday. I get the ok for two tests and decide on taking World Pop (not too difficult with Weeks Book and world fact book) and Mgmt Info Systems (more difficult than I expected, quite a bit of outdated data). After leaving the testing center I walk past a clep shelf and pick up a brochure that say's clep testing is done Monday and Tuesday.... hmmm. So yesterday I took Clep-Intro to Sociology (67) and today I took Organizational Behavior-ECE (harder than I expected), Foundations of Gerontology-ECE (easier than expected) and followed those up with Intro to Psych (59). My brain is friend to the max but I think I should come out with 15 hours. So the final tally is....
ECE HRM-I believe I passed, it will be close...
ECE-WP -Fairly easy imho, especially with summarizing "Population" by Weeks.
DSST-MIS-Harder than I thought, I don't have good feelings about it....
Clep-Intro to Soc-67 Yay!
ECE-Organizational Behavior - Much harder than I expected, very borderline...
ECE-Foundations of Gerontology-Much easier than expected-confident
Clep-Intro to Psych-59 Yay!
Like I said, my brain is mush. I am cracking open a couple of cold ones tonight and watching some basketball.

Ok, so I finally applied to Excelsior and I just started the 1 credit Information Literacy class yesterday. Once I am done with that I will have all of the classes I need for my AA from Excelsior. I know it is more money to get the AA then the BA but I really wanted to get the AA to keep me motivated...
I need to decide on a major now. I love History so that is my first choice but I honestly don't know what a BA in History will do for me. Can anyone offer me some input? I just want to make sure I make a reasonable decision and that I can make use of my degree. Thanks in advance for your input!

I am very new to InstaCert and to this board, so I hope this doesn't put everybody off. The following was forwarded to me this morning--I'm sure everyone who reads this gets forwarded stuff every day. Normally I just delete it, but I think this one should be viewed by as many people as possible.
Thanks for reading it, and I promise never to forward anything again

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest
of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in
protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most
places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies
pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on
May 15th
15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for
at least one day.
If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldn't) resend this to all
your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"
You may pass it, just don't buy it ! ! !

I took the ridiculously doable Math class through Excelsior. It was a blast, even though it lasted 15 weeks too long.
Well, my problem is that I need those 3 credits to post so I can send a transcript to another school to graduate!
It has been 3 weeks since I finished the class and I am still waiting! I check the website daily, and it still shows me enrolled, even though the class ended 3 weeks ago. Info Literacy posted like the next day, this is killing me...

Hello everyone, My name is Cindy and this site is all new to me. Can anyone direct me how to use it to my benefit. I am presently studying intro. to sociology. I am into instantcert.com and doing the 157 questions on there. Will go and buy a Rea clep book soon as I get to a book store. Trying to familiarize myself to the people and what they did with my own flash cards. How do you know when you had enough and are ready to test? Then this being my first test, how do I sign up and get registered and ready to take. How long should I give myself to study and take a test? This is so new to me I am giving myself a headache worrying about all this and trying to study at the same time. Thank you to all who can give me some advice. Thanks, Cindy

Hey everyone -
I'm back! I took a break because I got burned out. But I have a new wonderful boyfriend and he says I should finish. So I passed Buis Law, Prin of Sociology and just two days ago I got a 60 (passing is 46) on Prin of Supervision (DSST).
Now I am working on my final exam - Money and Banking, which was the only DSST test I failed. I failed by three points last August after studying for a week - I didn't realize it would be on a much harder level than the other DSST exams I took. Now I'm writing EVERYTHING down from instacert and am going to know it cold.
My question for this post is, the last time I took Money and Banking, the DSST exams WERE NOT computerized. So I am assuming this will be a *new* test with *new* questions, correct? (I know the computerized Buis math was different form the written exam). Also, has anyone taken the computerized Money and Banking? How was it?
Many thanks, guys.
