I have been struggling with passing a science and finally passed Race for the Environment DSST with 54. I used IC, Pass Your Class and the DSST Practice tests.
While science was required for me, everything else is an elective so I'll be off to more testing straight away.
This forum and site was how I got through it all and Abby thanks for the advice on the DSST tip for studying with the parctice tests.

I passed, barely, with a 56. This was by far the hardest CLEP exam I have taken... but it was hard only because of my infamiliarity with much of the subject. I used IC and the Peterson practice tests. I scored pathetically on the Patterson tests (50%), but took the exam anyways.
Anyone looking at passing this exam needs to really know:
Louis XIV Reign
French Revolution
Tenents of Napoleon's reign
English Legal History (Bill of Rights, Reform Act)
Understand England's transition of power (Charles I, James II, William the Orange).
Understand Bismarck and the Berlin Conference
Understand Austria-Hungary and their role in the 19th century and WWI
Concepts of Russia's struggle with the people, technology, and always being "behind the rest of the world" (my phrase)
Understand basic concepts of WWII - Who started it, what happened afterwards
Understand basic concepts of WWI - Who started it, why, what happened afterwards.
If you're not very familiar with the timeline of Western Civilization... and how France, England, Russia, (and eventually Germany, Italy, and Austria) played together... you'll need more help than IC can offer.
If you pick up on key concepts quickly and can put together a timeline in your head, then IC will work fine.

I'm ticked off. No, not because I didn't pass but I couldn't take the test! This past Monday I called the testing center at Washtenaw Community College (Ann Arbor, MI) and scheduled the test for 9am this morning.
I go to the testing center this morning and there is a sign on the door. "Testing Center closed until 11am due to Staff Meeting". No one informed me of this when I scheduled my exam and not one person made an effort to call me this week. Thus.....I'm ticked.
I couldn't wait until 11am because my wife and I have plans today. The testing center is getting an earful from me on Monday.

Hello everyone! ^^
I usually have spent most of my time on history and psychology oriented exams in CLEPs, DSSTs, and ECEs (besides the basic requirements i nuked out in CLEP). Now, since i only have two tests remaining, the HRM is one of the ones i want to shoot at.
I asked for advice on Psychology of Adulthood and Aging and received some EXTREMELY helpful advice. I am using IC's DSST flashcards for the ECE exam. So does anyone have any advice for this exam? I welcome even the most basic tips, as there may be something i have never heard before that could be very helpful. Therefore, anything is HIGHLY appreciated.
Thank you in advance to anyone out there (and i apologize in advance if i have a delayed response).

To those who have taken Bio,
I am scheduled to take CLEP Biology next week. In my studies there seems to be all kinds of molecular formulas. How much do I need to focus on them? What kind of emphasis was put on knowing those formulas in the test?
